Pervez Musharraf emergency is the only way out of current violent situation in Pakistan. US Europe UN wants democracy in Pakistan.

Posted by QB on November 5, 2007

The US European countries wants democracy in Pakistan, new UN Secretary General Bank Ki-moon joining them calling to release of all detained under emergency rule and restoration of democracy. The UN must pay attention to more important issues like Iran US nuclear conflict, withdrawal of US occupation troops from Afghanistan and Iraq instead of worrying about democracy in Pakistan. The UN also called to release all the Judges and Lawyers detained. The Judges and Lawyers who are under house arrest, are responsible for this step taken by Pervez Musharraf by creating unnecessary blockade with their biased rulings. The US European countries UN Secretary General and UN must borrow some common sense than they will realize that this State Of Emergency is necessary for Pervez Musharraf to go after the Islamic Militants without getting interferences from High Courts or Supreme Court. They can’t have it both ways, either take democracy with completely discontinuation of their favorite “war on terror”, otherwise let Pervez Musharraf do what he is trying to achieve with imposing this emergency.

The majority of Pakistan politicians are corrupt, dishonest, liars who will only bring more chaos, more unrest and the democratic government can’t survive more then few months if they follow Bush regime policies. The latest situation in Swat is that there are clashes with Islamic Militans and Security Forces with constant exchange of fire. There are also reports of about 30 huge blasts in that area with no reports of casualties except there few children reported injured with Security Forces mortar fires.

Bush, Ban Ki-moon and all the European leaders STFU.

Benazir Bhutto criticize Pervez Musharraf emergency as Martial Law, talking with Time, she is keeping the doors open for negotiations. Benazir Bhutto is so much power hungry that she will not hesitate to negotiate and sign deal with Satan.

Plight of the stranded Pakistanis in Bangladesh.

Posted by QB on October 3, 2007

The two hundred fifty thousand Pakistanis are stranded in Bangladesh and according to the following article UN and Red Cross has ignored them completely. Bangladesh government is taking care of them which is huge financial burden. I have to do lot more research on this subject before saying giving my opinion.
Copy the contents of this editorial with source link as most of the people never click on the link to read the contents.

Over 2.5 lakh stranded Pakistanis living in 66 camps across Bangladesh are the world’s most forgotten refugees. The plight of the refugees – better known as Biharis worsens each day.

Even though they are without a homeland, neither the United Nations nor the International Red Cross and Crescent Society recognise them as refugees. Bangladesh can ill afford these refugees but yet it has been taking care of these people for nearly three decades. The burden is becoming too much for Bangladesh to bear.

“…the stranded Pakistanis have become a burden for us…our people do not accept them either. Absence of proper initiative from the government is an impediment to the process of solving this longstanding humanitarian problem,” former President HM Ershad was quoted by a study conducted by NewsNetwork.

The camps where these stranded people are staying over three decades are the classic examples of subhuman living that has hardly any difference with animal life. Dingy and stinky atmosphere, merger of both water and sewerage lines, lack of latrines and clean water are constant threats to health. Fever, diarrhoea and other diseases are common phenomenona in the camp life.

Malnutrition of children in absence of proper food and medicine threatens their usual physical growth on one hand and absence of education turns them into dark generation on the other. There is no maternity care for mothers and no healthcare for elderly people.

Each family has been given one room — 6 feet by 6 feet. But who wants to know that these families have grown in size over the years. Sometimes, 10 people live in one room, spanning three generations. The question of privacy never comes. Some of the camps at Mohammadpur and Adamjee have become crime valleys. Theft, mugging, trafficking in drugs and prostitution continue with the placid support of local influential people, police and goons. Outsiders have easy access to these camps and get involved in criminal activities like selling drugs, illegal weapons and prostitution.

Life in the camps is fraught with insecurity, threat of vandalism and physical violence. At Mohammadpur and Mirpur camps, there were some incidents of murders for various reasons. One such murder took place at Mohammadpur Geneva Camp in July 2004 when a video shop owner was slaughtered in broad daylight.

Most of the men from the camps work as rickshaw-pullers, technicians, drivers, tailors, cooks and weavers. Mirpur Banarasi saree is all their contribution to the wedding market. Women work in garment factories and as domestic helps.

Another acute problem being faced by these stranded people is frequent moves of eviction from their camps by vested interest groups, local politicians and musclemen who sometimes enjoy the support of the local administration.

Since the cost of lands in Mirpur, Mohammadpur, Narayanganj, Syedpur or Chittagong where these people living has increased manifold, the rich people with the help of musclemen want to grab these lands to make housing plots or build multistoried buildings.

Sometimes the greedy people make arson attacks on the camps in a bid to evict them. Sometimes they apply force to displace them to clear the lands in violation of previous decisions or orders of the government. Consequently, the leaders of stranded Pakistanis are to frequently move to court, seeking justice.

Many cases against the evictions are lying in the higher courts for disposal. However, they keep on living in their camps by getting temporary court injunctions and by overcoming many odds and obstacles. What is the underlying reason behind the stalled repatriation of these stranded Pakistanis?

As per a tripartite agreement signed by India, Bangladesh and Pakistan in 1974, all the remaining Pakistanis staying in camps were to be taken back by Pakistan.

Since the repatriation process got stalled, late President Ziaul Huq, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and incumbent President Pervez Musharraf never declined to accept these Pakistanis. Instead Nawaz and Musharraf made categorical assurances to the governments in Dhaka for initiating the process of repatriation. Some may point their finger to the “Mohajir (Bihari) problem” in Karachi as Sindhis do not accept them in their province. But perceiving this reality, the Pakistan government built tin-shed houses at Mia Chunnu in Punjab for their rehabilitation with financial support from Saudi-based voluntary organisation Rabita-al-Alam-al Islami.

Former Pak Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif when he was the Punjab Chief Minister said, “I, on behalf of the people of Punjab, urge to accommodate in Punjab all the Pakistanis presently stranded in Bangladesh. However, for obvious reasons the responsibility to arrange funds for their repatriation and resettlement is of the federal government (of Pakistan).” After assuming office of the Pakistan Prime Minister, Sharif had assured both the Bangladesh government and the SPGRC delegation, led by Nasim Khan, of taking back their citizens.

Pakistan President Gen. Pervez Musharraf during his official visit to Bangladesh also gave assurance to Prime Minister Khaleda Zia’s government to take up this humanitarian issue on priority basis, but no initiative is still in sight.

If the question of fund for repatriation and rehabilitation comes, it is not insoluble. It is understood that already there is some substantial fund raised for this purpose was learnt to have been deposited in a Pakistani bank (perhaps Habib Bank). Initiative could be taken easily to raise required fund from international voluntary organisations that are spending billions of dollars for humanitarian causes across the world. If the problem lies in the mindset of Pakistani politicians, then it needs to be solved by Pakistani politicians themselves. If Pakistan could show its magnanimity by giving shelter to refugees from different countries, including Afghanistan, why it would not take its own people to their homeland and ensure their legitimate rights to end their ordeal in camp life?

Dr Hossain, who signed the India, Bangladesh and Pakistan tripartite agreement in Delhi on April 9, 1974 was quoted by the study as saying, “There should be a meaningful discussion aimed at resolving this humanitarian problem. We had made a framework to repatriate the remaining non-Bengalis. Perhaps, the two governments do not give sufficient priority to solve this problem.” Source : Plight of the stranded Pakistanis in Bangladesh.

In due course most of the Pakistan forgot about these stranded Pakistanis who were being projected as patriots during the 1971 war and its immediate aftermath. These “patriots” of 1971 are now considered as “pariahs” by Pakistan that has stopped owning them as it fears that, on migration, they would settle in Sindh and join the ethnic political ranks of Mohajirs. The economic and the political costs just seemed too much to bear. The estimate of those now eligible for repatriation is said to be around three lakhs. However, with the advent of Mohajir (subsequently Muttahida) Quaumi Movement (MQM) as a political party representing Mohajirs, the issue of stranded Pakistanis received some attention as it was one of the demands in their charter of demands as presented to the government. MQM feels that the repatriation of these Biharis will lead to accretion in their support base. As a result, the Rabita Trust Fund was founded in 1988 to seek funds from other Islamic mainly Arab countries to help in repatriating these stranded Pakistanis. It did succeed in repatriating a few hundred families but had to give up in the face of the cool response from parties in power and the opposition. It finally froze its operations in 2001 and the process has since stopped. In order to overcome the fierce opposition of Sindhis to the settlement of these Biharis in Sindh, then prime minister Nawaz Sharif came out with a solution that entailed settling these Biharis in Punjab, In March 1999 his interior minister, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, publicly pledged to bring them to Pakistan and consequently some dwelling units were built in Punjab to house these Biharis but no tangible steps were taken by the authorities to repatriate these hapless victims.

With the passage of time and with Pakistani authorities showing no signs of taking them in, a number of these Biharis have realised that their future probably lies in Bangladesh and have accordingly appealed for Bangladeshi citizenship. Bangladesh Supreme Court in a land mark decision ruled that the citizenship can not be denied to those who were born in Bangladeshi soil after the creation of the state. However, the issue still provokes strong sentiments in Bangladesh. Many are strongly opposed to showing any leniency to these stranded Pakistanis for their role during the liberation war.

As a result these stranded Pakistanis continue to live in squalor in camps set up in Bangladesh and have no political rights. If Pakistan denies these hapless citizens their rightful share in the state, it will not only delegitimise the ‘Two Nation Theory’ but also ensure that in any future manifestation of nationalist assertion by any ethno-linguistic group as is seen in Balochistan today, no section of society would like to be seen as collaborating with the state.

However, when East Pakistan became the independent state of Bangladesh in December 1971, the Biharis were left behind as the Pakistani army and civilians evacuated and the Bihari population in Bangladesh found themselves unwelcome in both countries. Pakistan feared a mass influx of Biharis could destabilize a fragile and culturally mixed population, and Bangladeshis scorned the Biharis for having supported and sided with the West during the war.

With little or no legal negotiation about offering the Biharis Pakistani citizenship, the Biharis (officially called stranded Pakistanis, in Bangladesh) have remained stateless for 33 years. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has not addressed the plight of the Biharis. An estimated 600,000 Biharis live in 66 camps in 13 regions across Bangladesh, and an equal number have acquired Bangladeshi citizenship.

In 1990, a small number of Biharis were allowed to immigrate to Pakistan due to the efforts of MQM, which is still campaigning for their return. Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Urdu: متحدہ قومی موومنٹ) generally known as MQM or simply Muttahida, is one of the largest political parties in Pakistan[citation needed].

MQM is the only Pakistani political party which grew out of a student organization. The student organization, All Pakistan Muhajir Students Organization (APMSO) started on 11th June, 1978 at the University of Karachi by Altaf Hussain. Mr. Hussain remains its leader[1]. APMSO gave birth to Muhajir Qaumi Movement (MQM) on 18th March 1984, which by 1991 “established a virtual monopoly over representation of the Urdu-speaking community in urban Sindh.” [2]

On July 26, 1997, MQM officially removed the term Muhajir from its name, and replaced it with Muttahida (“United”). to, “further the programme of national development” and to carry out “a nation-wide campaign against feudal domination.”

MQM claims to be making speedy inroads all over Pakistan

The majority of Biharis in Pakistan live in Karachi, where Orangi Town has the highest concentration of them while those in Bangladesh are allowed to live in specific camps only mostly within Dhaka city. Due to not having citizenship, most engage in odd jobs of various sorts. Wikipedia.

This is very sad that Pakistan government has abandoned their own citizens for ethic politics and Bangaleshi considered them outsider, even though they were born there, for close to Pakistan military at the time of their political struggle to free country.

This is interesting. Zia ul Haq very righteous Muslim was infact a hypocrite ignoring this stranded Pakistanis humanitarian crisis who are 250,000 only but open its border to let 3.2 million Afghans cross Pakistan border. Benazir Bhutto completely ignored this issue because she don’t want to annoy her Sindhi voters who are against these poor people settling down in that province. The other three provinces don’t welcome these Patriot who are suffering because they supported the united Pakistan cause.

Will try to fix this post in proper way whenever get time.

Venezuela ratifies will to reform the UN.

Venezuela ratifies will to reform the UN for La Paz and the development

This Tuesday, the chancellor of Venezuela, Mature Nicholas, ratified the will of the revolutionary government to deeply reform the United Nations (the UN) in a true instrument for La Paz, the life and the development.

Mature General Assembly made this declaration during its intervention in the session of 62ª of the UN in New York, where it reiterated the necessity that this institution advances towards the democratization of the Security Council, towards their extension, as much of permanent members as of nonpermanent.

In addition, the Venezuelan diplomat proposed the fulfillment of new functions of this General Assembly to advance towards the fortification of the political paper of the Secretary General and to obtain new mechanisms of dialogue, coexistence and construction of a dumb one pluriplurar.

“Another world to pluripolar of balance without imperial hegemonismos is necessary, is urgent and is possible, we we were gotten up to the debate on the reform of the United Nations, we think that this organization must refundar itself, must be constructed to put itself to the service like faithful instrument of a world to pluripolar, balance, peace, a world without hegemonismos”, said.

It indicated that in this world to pluripolar all we must be worth the same and where the towns can be seen by resemblances within the framework of a world-wide cooperation to construct the bases of La Paz, justice and to surpass the madness of the war and power to chain the desire of the elites of the world to seize of the natural resources and the wealth of our towns.

The Chancellor indicated that the town of Venezuela has followed of way attempts the general positions that the debate of this General Assembly this last week and indicated that this debate has showed the present situation of the world, “a world that struggles to be constructed peacefully that it looks for new map courses”.

He remembered that the last year president Chávez, from the same tribune, ratified the alert of many in the world on the guerrerista madness that has been dominated parallel the desire of peace of the majorities in the world

Mature he presented/displayed a balance of that “guerrerista” madness that, six years ago, through harassment and the invasion to the town of Iraq was constructed in a justification to take step to the military occupation of the Iraqian nation.

He emphasized that after 5 years, the result of this political flood of hatred has required the investment of 610 billion dollars to maintain the war in the Middle East to take to the death and the destruction, to invest them in bullets, pumps and deaths.

“Those 610 billion inverted in the course of the 6 years that has lasted the occupation of Iraq could mean progress, equality and justice for the town of Iraq, but the results are very evident, are at sight”, said.

It explained that, according to the investigations of the Universities of the world, during this conflict more than 600 thousand Iraqians they have died product of this invasion and the military occupation, more than 3 thousand 600 American young people have passed away, more than 25 thousand disabled, blind, deaf and incapacitated American young people returned to his country for the life.

“Those 610 billion dollars inverted in the death which has done is to reproduce the violence and the balance that we could do today is that that investment has not left a world more surely, more balancing, today does not give like results a peace world us”, reflected.

Also, it commented that yes those 610 billion dollars had been reversed for the life had been constructed 3 ambulatory million of taking health to the world since makes the town of Cuba and Venezuela through the Bolivariana Alternative for the towns of Our America (White) all over Latin America and the Caribbean.

In addition, it emphasized that with those resources they were possible to have been constructed more than 12 million houses for man and women of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean or more than 300 thousand schools that would lodge at least to 350 million young people, of young planet students.

“Yes we removed to the concrete balance the direct result from which it has been this foolish and irrational war we would have to say that this war has taken death, destruction, destabilization and have created more centers of terrorism”.

It showed that this foolish war is the worse example of since it has worked the security system for the protection of the balance and La Paz in the world.

It said that the Bolivariana Republic of Venezuela calls to the reflection in the world to fit the mechanisms to find the balance, La Paz and to stop the madness of the war.

One talked about in this case, to the public, mediatic campaign international of satanización of the town and of the government of Iran, because it said “we have seen as of dangerous way threatening declarations against La Paz of the town follow one another of Irán».

“The world has been asked, the governments represented in this General assembly what would happen if that wild madness of the elites that govern to the United States took the maddening step to attack the Pacific town of Iran, to where it would take a situation to us of those characteristics”, it emphasized.

It indicated: “we are in time to stop that campaign of satanización, are in time to construct the retaining walls, the alert, the calls and the alliances to stop the guerrerista madness of the elites that governs the United States of North America.”

Cuba Foreign Minister 2007 UN Speech. Machine Translation.

Posted by QB on October 3, 2007

26 of September of 2007, New York

Sir President:

Before the real dangers that had never been made so evident they watch to the human species; before the violations to the Right International had been made never so evident that put in increasing danger to international La Paz and the security; before the inequality and the exclusion had never been made so evident, that strike to more than the two third parts of the population of our planet.

To end to the wastefulness and the consumista frenzy that promote the great corporations and the groups of being able of a reduced group of developed countries, that waste at the cost of the poverty and the perpetuación of the subdevelopment in a vast periphery of poor countries in which thousands of million people malviven, have become a key factor for the subsistence of the humanity. The meeting of high level of this General Assembly, carried out only two days ago, made the danger clear that represents the accelerated global heating that already we suffer and its effect in the climatic change. It is necessary to act, and to make it fast, and the developed countries must have moral and the historical responsibility to give the example and to head the effort.

On the other hand, several of our countries, always of the South, continue being victims of inadmissible acts of aggression on the part of the powerful ones of always, motivated, in the essential, by the insatiable appetite of strategic resources. The predatory wars and the proclamation and application of doctrines based on the preventive war, that do not even exclude the use from nuclear weapons against States that do not have them, and the reiterated use of pretexts such as the assumption fights to the terrorism, the tried promotion of the democracy or the call change of regime in countries unilaterally described like states villains, today constitute the greater and more serious threat to La Paz and the security in the world.

The aggression and illegal occupation of countries, the opposite armed intervention to the Right International and the intentions and principles of the Letter of the UN, the bombing to civilians and the torture continue being practical daily. Under the false litany of the freedom and the democracy, it is tried to consecrate the sacking of the natural resources of the Third World and to control zones of increasing geostrategic importance. That and another one are not the project of imperial domination that tries to impose to blood and fire the military superpower more powerful than the man has seen.

Far from acting itself in the international relations according to the principles of solidarity, social and international justice, the equality and the development for all, are used without the pudor minimum the practices to certify to countries, to impose unilateral blockades, to threaten the aggression, of chantajear and compelling.

If a small country defends its right to independence it accuses of State villain to him; if a power agrede to a country says that “it releases it”. A combatant against the foreign aggression is a terrorist; an attacking soldier is a “fighter by the freedom”. It is the mediatic war, the swindle of the truths, the tyranny of the unique thought in a globalizado world.

Instead of advancing towards the general disarmament and complete, including the nuclear disarmament, that has constituted per decades a permanent reclamation of the Movement of Countries nonAligned, one promotes the armamentismo and wastefulness in new arms and systems of armaments that spend the resources that the world would require to mitigate the effects of the climatic change and as opposed to to do the very serious problems derived from the poverty and the marginalization to him.

He tries himself to prevent, politicized and selectively, the application of the principle, proclaimed already in the Treaty of Nuclear nonProliferation, of which the nations have right to the development of the nuclear energy with pacific aims. One threatens the war and the destruction to countries while he allows himself the aggressive ally to have hundreds of nuclear devices and him aid to modernize them continuously.

How long will more have to pass and how many new victims will die before the hawks of the war include/understand that the arms do not serve to solve the serious problems of the humanity?

A day like today, is worth the trouble to remember the words of President Fidel Castro before this General Assembly in October of 1979:

“We say good bye to the arms – Fidel said and consagrémonos civilizadamente to the most exhausting problems of ours were. That is the responsibility and to have more asylum of all the statesmen of the world. That is, in addition, the indispensable premise of the human survival”.

Sir President:

Today one does not advance towards the fulfillment of Metas of the Millenium and the decisions of the great conferences of the conducted United Nations during the last decade.

The poverty does not diminish. The inequality between the countries and within the countries grows.

Thousand one hundred million people do not have access to potable water; 2 600 million lack services of cleaning; more than 800 million they are illiterate and 115 million children do not go to the primary school; 850 million pass hunger every day. 1% of the richest people of the world have 40% of the wealth, while 50% of the world-wide population as soon as it counts on a 1%. All this happens in a world that a million million in arms spend and another one in commercial publicity.

Near billion people who live in developed countries they consume around half of the total energy, whereas almost 2000 million poor men still do not know the electricity.

Is that the world that wants that we accept? Is perhaps the future to which we must be satisfied? Tenemos or not right to fight to change this state of things? We must or not fight because a better world is possible?

So that so colossal resources in the industry are wasted to kill and is not used to save lives? So that to schools instead of nuclear submarines and hospitals instead of “intelligent” pumps are not constructed? So that vaccines instead of armored vehicles and more foods instead of more bombers do not take place? So that the investigations are not impelled to fight the AIDS, the malaria and the tuberculosis instead of making anti-missile shields? So that the war against the poverty instead of against the poor men does not get rid?

Although billion dollars are needed only 150 to reach Metas of the Millenium, it affirms hypocritically that it does not have of where to obtain necessary the financial resources. Lie! Yes there is money very well, which lack is the political will, the ethics and the real commitment from which they must make the decisions.

If it is really wanted to find the money:

Cúmplase of once with the commitment dedicating 0.7% of the GIP to the Official Aid to the Development. It would mean more than 141 billion additional dollars to the present amounts. In the overflow of the simulation, the countries donors now enter the condonaciones of a debt that know that they will not be able to receive to inflate artificially his contributions.

Condónese the external debt, that our countries have paid already more of once. It would allow to dedicate to the development more than 400 billion dollars that today are dedicated to the service of a debt that does not let grow.

Conclúyase Ronda de Doha for the development and eliminates 300 billion agricultural subsidies of the developed countries. It will allow to dedicate that money to fight against the rural poverty, the nourishing insecurity and to guarantee right prices for products of export of the underdeveloped countries.

Reconózcase our right to the development. Garantícese our right to accede to the markets, the patents and the technologies that today are exclusive monopoly of the powerful ones. Ayúdese to our countries to form professionals and scientists and déjese to rob the talent to us.

The aligned countries we did not need alms; we needed and we demanded justice.

Respétese our right to the cultural diversity and the preservation of our patrimony, our symbols and our idiosyncrasy. That has been the unanimous reclamation that the aligned countries we did not finish proclaiming in Tehran, in our Ministerial Meeting on Human rights and Cultural Diversity.

Sir President:

The aligned countries we do not want more democratic United Nations and I am transparent, in which the General Assembly, its more representative and democratic organ, really exerts the faculties that correspond to him.

We needed Nations United with a reformed Security Council, that acts within the mandate that grants the Corporate charter to him of the Organization, without invading the functions and prerogatives of other organs of the system. A Security Council with one membresía extended, to tone with the present composition of the UN, where the underdeveloped countries we are majority. A Security Council where their methods of work reform radically to allow to the transparency and the access of all the States Members to their workings.

We defend United Nations where the multilateralism and the solutions decided in the absolute respect to the Letter, constitute the only one via approaching and solving the present problems.

We needed an Advice Human rights who prevents the repetition of the serious errors of the old Commission of Human rights. An Advice who consecrates in his practice the principle of which the human rights are universal, indivisible and interdependent. An Advice who ends the selectivity and the double raseros. The aligned countries we will not be against firmly to the perverse machinations of some powerful ones that, frustrated by not to have been able to obtain its objectives, they now try to reopen and to question the agreement reached in the arduous and difficult process of institutional construction of the Council.

The aligned countries we will not move backwards in the defense of the postulates with which our Movement was based, that is similar to those of this Organization. We will foment between the nations relations of friendship based on the respect to the sovereignty principles, equality of rights and frees determination of the towns.

We will continue defending the right of the undergone and heroic Palestinian town to have its own State with its capital in Eastern Jerusalem. We will continue condemning the genocide that against him is committed.

We will continue proclaiming the right of the town from Puerto Rico the sovereignty and independence.

The aligned countries we did not represent almost two thirds of membresía of United Nations. Our vindications could not be preteridas nor our ignored interests. We will stay united and we will lean in the defense of our rights. We will cause that our voice is listened to.

Sir President:

Here my speech like President of the Movement of Countries nonAligned finished. Nevertheless, the scandalous and crude performance of the President of the United States in this room, in the morning of yesterday, now forces to me to pronounce words to name of Cuba.

Using a language soez and an arrogant tone, President Bush insulted and threatened a ten of countries; he issued orders, final and authoritarian, to the General Assembly; and he distributed, with a great power never Vista in this room, qualifications and judgments on a twenty of countries.

It was an embarrassing spectacle. The delirium tremens of world-wide gendar to me. The embriaguez of the imperial power, decorated with all the mediocrity and the cynicism of which they threaten wars in which they know that they do not gamble his life.

The President of the United States does not have any right to judge another sovereign nation of this planet. To have powerful nuclear weapons does not give right some on the rights of the towns of the other 191 countries represented here.

And does not have to underestimate to the determination and the anger of the towns at the time of defending its rights! After all, which is worth is not the power of the tubes, but the justeza of the ideas by which it is fought. The militant and threatening President already must it have learned at this point.

Sovereign equality of the States and not “change of regime”. Respect to the sovereignty and unilateral noncertifications of good behavior. Respect to the Right International and illegal nonblockades and wars.

President Bush spoke of democracy, but all we know that he lies. It arrived at the Presidency by means of the fraud and the deceit. We had saved its presence yesterday and we would have listened to President Albert Gore speak on the climatic change and the risks for our species. We remembered, in addition, how it in plain language supported the coup d’etat against the President and the Constitution of Venezuela.

It spoke of peace, but we know that it lies. We remembered or when it threatened 60 or the more countries, to which it called “dark corners of the planet”, with making them disappear of the Earth face with pre-emptive strikes and surprise. Bush is a peculiar soldier who, from the rear, commands to kill and to die to the young people from its country to thousands of kilometers of its coasts.

It spoke of human rights, but we know that it lies. She is the person in charge of the death of 600 thousand civilians in Iraq, it authorized the torture in Naval Base of Guantánamo and Abu Ghraib, and is accomplice of the kidnapping and the secret disappearance of people, flights and the clandestine jails.

It spoke of the fight against the terrorism, but we know that it lies. It has guaranteed total impunity to the most abominable terrorist groups than, from Miami, they have perpetrated horrible crimes against the Cuban town.

President Bush attacked the new Council of Human rights. He bleeds by the wound; its impotence broods. It martyrs the shame of which, during his Presidency, the United States it cannot at least aspire to being member, because the elections are by secret vote. Cuba, however, was chosen charter member with more than two thirds from the votes.

It spoke of cooperation, development and prosperity for the rest of the world, but all we know that it lies. He has been the most egoistic and irresponsible politician who we have seen. In a world in that 10 million smaller children of 5 years by prevenibles diseases will die this year, their stingy and demagogic proposals of are a joke of badly pleasure yesterday.

President Bush does not have moral authority nor credibility to judge nobody. He would have to respond before the world by his crimes.

There are a limit, Excellence, to the arrogance and hipocresía. There is a limit to the lie and the blackmail. Cuba rejects and condemns each one of mendaces words pronounced yesterday by the President of the United States.

Sir President:

Cuba thanks for the solidarity that has received from this General Assembly in its fight against the blockade and the aggressions that has had to face during almost five decades. Of particular way I thank for here the words pronounced yesterday by the President of Nicaragua, companion Daniel Ortega, present here in the room, and those of all those that have raised to their voice in favor of the right and justice with the Cuban town.
Cuba is thankful to which they have supported his tenacious fight against the terrorism and have raised his voice in favor of the liberation of five jailed Cuban antiterrorist fighters unjustly in prisons of the United States.

Cuba will fight, delegated gentlemen, along with all the members of the Movement of Aligned Countries not to reach an order international and more just democratic, in which our towns can exert their right to La Paz and the development.

It will be possible to be accused to us of soñadores, but we fought with the conviction that the today dreams will be the morning realities.

We fought, and we will not let do it, with the conviction that when there are men without honor, there are always others have in himself the honor of many men and in them goes a whole town, goes the human dignity.

Thank you very much.

I want to remember to the victims of the terrorist attacks in the World Trade Center; to the million men and women who have been and continue being victims of the genocide produced by global Capitalism.

To the victims of the discrimination and Apartheid, caused by those who they deny its enter the developed countries; I want to remember to the towns that in Latin America, try to enter the United States, and the towns that in Africa, in Asia, try to enter the European nations.

Our reflection, our recognition and our solidarity, for the victims of the natural disasters, that are simultaneously, victims of the policies of the imperialistic global Capitalism that with its desarrollista policy, continues causing destruction, death and poverty, becoming the greater aggressor of the Mother Earth, destroyed today by that avarice of imperial Capitalism.

I want to remember the recent victims of natural phenomena, that have been stimulated by that depredation caused by imperialistic global Capitalism… the victims of the Katrina Hurricane, the victims of the earthquake in Peru, the victims of the floods in Africa; the victims of the original towns, the miskito town, the town mayangna, victims of the Hurricane Central American, Latin American and Caribbean earth Felix; in the Earth of Sandino and Rubén Darío.

Our brothers of the towns miskitos and mayangnas, that obtained their Autonomy in 1987, and which today, participate in a process where they are going to be recognized his right plenary sessions established by that Law of Autonomy, they have requested to me to recognize United Nations, because after that long battle by more than 20 years, finally they begin to recognize the rights of the original towns.

They have requested to me to make delivery, in Nations here United, of a document signed by the brothers leaders of the towns miskitos, mayangnas, of the afrodescendientes towns, victims of the Hurricane Felix, so that this document circulates before all you, representing brothers of the towns of our Planet.

18 years ago, I had the opportunity to direct to me, in that period from 1979 to 1989, this General Assembly of United Nations; and memory perfectly well, which was the speeches, the messages, the positions. They have spent 18 years, and thanks to the inclaudicable fight of the town of Sandino, I am again here, directing to you these words to them.

Today in the morning, when this General Assembly began, I listened to with attention the words of the second orador, that took 20 minutes exactly, I hope not to happen of the 20 minutes… and, nonencounter no difference! between which it was the thought, the word, the action of those who then were to the front of this imperial power, with the speech that I have listened to this morning.

They change the Presidents in the United States, and can arrive with the best good intention, can think that a good to the humanity is doing him, because, they do not manage to notice itself that they are not more than instruments of an empire more, of the so many empires that have prevailed on our Planet.

But they forget, that the life of the empires is ephemeral in relation to the time, that as well as arise, as well as they fill of pride and great power, as well as they stand to dictate like Gods, who is good, who is bad; as well as they put to dictate how to give, which they call attendance, which they are not more than the historical debts that they have with our towns, they simply what they are doing is responding to the empire, to the policies of the empire.

For that reason, it has not been to not only be strange that we are us, with he himself speech, but with the same circumstances of oppression, violence, of terror, that undergoes the humanity, today, more threatened than for 18 years, when I had the opportunity to speak here in United Nations; today, under the tyranny of imperialistic global Capitalism.

And the International is an Economic Order, clear that there is it! But, who dictate to that Economic Order the International? A minority of dictators, who impose their interests that is not new…! they were those that enslaved the African towns; those that enslaved and put under our indigenous ancestors; they were those that they exterminated to the original towns here in the United States. And the immigrants came then… Europe, very calmly with the right of whom…! to devastate with these towns, and to settle like owners of which it did not belong to them.

They robbed these towns to them, his rights, his culture and the culture, the interests of the colonizadores prevailed. There it was born what today one appears like the most exemplary democracy in the world, when is really the tyranny, the dictatorship most gigantic and more impressive than has existed throughout the history of the humanity… the tyranny of the North American empire.

And if no, we see how this morning spoke to the gentleman President to us… with a total lack of respect, speaking of Cuba! when system represents that has commanded to assassinate to President of Cuba, our dear brother Fidel Castro, to which we honored because he has been extraordinarily shared in common, signs and consequent with its principles in the fight by the humanity.

They, who have insisted on maintaining that blockade brutal against Cuba, whereas for reasons of interests of State, “democratic principles” do not take into account their calls when, for economic reasons, interlace common stocks with other nations with which, supposedly, ideological differences exist. The capital unites them, and there the ideological differences disappear.

Whereupon authority come to question the right of Iran, the right of the Popular Republic of Korea of the North? Whereupon straight questions the right that has these towns, to use the atomic development with pacific aims? And still more! if they wanted to use it with military aims… whereupon authority, whereupon straight, those that have been the unique ones, the only State that in the history of the humanity has dropped atomic pumps on defenseless towns, as it sent them on Hiroshima and Nakasaki…?

Whereupon authority… to try to condemn the town of Iran that is working by a development of atomic energy, with pacific aims? But it is that they already decided that is not with pacific aims, and who has given that right them them…? They themselves occur it, and they prevail this General Assembly!

Because this General Assembly is not more than the reflection of that reality that lives the world, where a minority, capitalist, imperialistic, who today prevails with global Capitalism and settles down an order to explode, to press, to impoverish, to continue enslaving, to continue causing the Apartheid against the Latin American immigrants and the African immigrants in Europe… because global Capitalism is one single one has a head! but he is one single one, with its tentacles by all sides.

Whereupon authority…? If it is the country possessor of the greater atomic armament in all the Planet and whereupon authority, other countries that are possessors of atomic armament, come here to try to question the right from other towns to the Pacific development of atomic energy…? When not even has moral authority! in order to question the right of any town, to also develop to the atomic energy with pacific aims and aims the military.

He is not that one, logically, the best way for the humanity… the best way for the humanity is that disappears the atomic armament! If the United States, if the North American Presidents, and I do not want to personalize in a President the conduct of the empire, because the empire is the empire! independently of whom it is to the front of him, it llámese Democratic or Republican… the empire is the empire!

If the United States, if this town, wants to really demonstrate that it is convinced that it is necessary to end the threat of the use of the atomic energy with military aims, then must be first in taking the step to begin a policy of nuclear disarmament! to which those are added all that has nuclear weapon…

And then… yes will be moral authority! in order to say that no town in the world invests resources in the atomic development, with military aims. And which then, all the nations can have the option and the right, that is wanted to them to deny to the towns in via of development, to choose to the atomic development with pacific aims.

18 years ago, it said to them, from this same site, was spoken of the same! the Palestinian problem… the always covered with blood Palestinian town, with a nation there that has atomic armament! There same, enquistada in which it has been the historical territory of the Palestinian town.

18 years ago it was spoken of the town of Puerto Rico, that nation that has come fighting by its independence and there it is Puerto Rico, always fighting by his independence; the United States continues expressing, with all clarity, their neocolonialistas policies. That is to say, more outposts, more modern combine the domination forms, with the domination forms more leaving behind, as those military bases that they have in Guantánamo.

18 years ago it was spoken of the armamentismo and history continues being the same one! 18 years ago it was spoken of the war and history continues being today, much more burdens, because we were with that brutal war, imposed by the empire, imposed by the interests ec onómicos y petroleros del imperio.
He thought that he went to a easy task when occupying Iraq and Afghanistan, and he has been with the resistance of those towns. An invasion that was sent with a campaign of lies! because it is not certain that Iraq was in possibilities of making atomic arms.

What I can conclude…? That the enemy continues being he himself, after 18 years! Now that I am again in United Nations the enemy continues being he himself! and it is called, imperialistic global Capitalism. And this, only we are going to change it the towns.

The towns that have managed to reach their liberation, have not been thanks to kindness of the empires, but thanks to the fight, the blood spilled by those towns. The towns that spilled their blood in Africa of the South to reach independence… how many years of ignominy, suffering, slavery, Apartheid in Africa of the South!

Thus, we could cross all the African Continent, and we will be whereupon their towns reached their freedom, although the modern colonialistas tried to maintain always those forms of occupation, and clear! they have assumed new forms of occupation; they have established new forms of domination.

Those are our towns that they have to continue fighting; it is the unit of our towns, the Latin American towns, the Central American, Caribbean towns the unit in the DAWN! And that does not become to repeat actions, like that they sent against Venezuela when to an elect President democratically… gave the military coup him! They tried to repeat the history of Salvador Beyond. The history of Chile tried to repeat it!

But it was not there United Nations, did not summon United Nations to say what barbarism which is happening in Venezuela; it is necessary to condemn what it is happening, because that is an elect Government democratically! No! Rather, the empire immediately ran to recognize the coup participants… was the Venezuelan town the one that rose to put in its place, again, to the President who they had elect. Therefore, those are the towns that decide their destiny!

Of that reason, so that it can change United Nations, brothers… all we can be in favor full of the best intentions. I do not even doubt that representing countries of global and imperialistic Capitalism, come here with the best intentions, some; but, they lose of Vista, which follow in his proposals and their asistencialistas expositions, because they are asistencialistas! when they speak of aid… is insulting to us!

They must understand, once and for all, that as well as they have managed themselves to obtain from the privatizations… what get to make the great transnational companies to the developing countries? They say that they get to help, but what industralist puts to help? The industralist when he invests, is for removing utilities, the maximum of utilities that can, and does not stop to invest them in the country, but to take them to it, because the developing countries we are described like uncertain countries. That is to say, we are victims of a sacking!

If we compared volumes of wealth that continues extracting of our countries countries capitalist, developed, now with his great companies, his great capitals globalizados… if we compared those wealth, those utilities, with which they send the Latin American emigrants from the United States to his families, or what the emigrants of Africa send, of Asia, who are in Europe to their families, really is a misery! compared with the volumes of wealth that are sacked to newspaper by those institutionalized forms of oppression.

However, the emigrants who work in the United States and Europe, those emigrants work more duro than anyone! they are in the tasks that no longer develop nor the North Americans, nor the European, and receive miserable wages… then who does the favor to him to whom?

No favor does the Latin Americans to him that they manage to accede to work in the United States, and that manages to collect a little money to send 100, 200 dollars to its families, as opposed to the sacking of the great companies which yes they arrive there, to remove those enormous utilities, but that also, not only to take advantage from the cheap manual labor and the condicionalidades that impose Free Trade Agreement.

Logically, it frees commerce so that the human beings face, so that the societies face, the nations, to see who is strongest! and one goes away to impose logically, more hard. It is the law of the forest, the free commerce.

What we needed in the world is the commerce just; what the world demands is really a change in the globalizados capitalist countries, imperialistic, must there occur a change! They must change those concepts of Free Market and Free Trade Agreement, by Right Commerce and Market the International Just.

It is not reducing the subsidies, that are going away to solve this problem, because simply, the disparities are so enormous that is impossible! It is not with breadcrumbs that are going away to solve this problem.

This problem is solved with deeply radical changes that take to the democratization of those who, being a minority in the planet Earth, is the owners of the wealth, is the owners of the atomic armament and imposes their policies in this Assembly; they happen over the Security Council of United Nations; imposes their own laws! that there they are established clearly and that they do not have any respect for the humanity.

Only changing in these towns, these nations, in these governments, those policies, are that we are going to really have, that right world of which all we spoke. Because all we spoke of right world, of a world peacefully, a world in brotherhood, solidarity, ah…! but of the words to the practice, exists a great distance!

Receive dear brothers, our greeting, the greeting of the Nicaraguan town, a town fighter; of a town that has undergone the interventions of the empire from year 1856! when the Revolution had not prevailed over October, that Revolution of the great Lenin. When it did not exist therefore, the East-West conflict, already Nicaragua underwent the expansionistic policies of the empire; Nicaragua had already to raise in arms to be able to face which they wanted to dominate to us and to impose Yankee presidents to us.

We want, brothers, to request to them that they transmit its towns to them, the conviction, the security that today more than ever, conditions for the unit of the Latin American and Caribbean towns also exist; the unit of the African towns is growing; it must grow the unit of the Asian towns, but free of that global Capitalism! Because, of what is worth, of what serves to speak of socialism, if what is being constructed it is Capitalism, and if what is occurring she is santa alliance with global and imperialistic Capitalism.

We must construct that Formation force, in Africa, in Asia, in Latin America, where we are walking with the same force, he himself vigor, such principles that follows alive! of the African fighters, Lumumba, Sekú Turé. The principles of the Latin American fighters; the principles of such North American fighters, the United States; the principles of the European fighters.

The principles of this Latin America, Bolivar, Martí, Sandino, Tupac Atari, Tupac Amaru, those principles follow effective, and will follow effective while these forms of oppression exist!

I have the faith in God, the security and the certainty that as well as the towns, in spite of as much oppression, of as much destruction, they have not surrendered, nor they have been sold… today more than ever, the towns rise with pride, firmness, dignity and is not going away to sell, nor is going away to in front of render the globalizado capitalist empire!
Thank you very much.

Ahmadinejad questioned by Kidnapped Israeli Soldier’s Wife.

Posted by QB on September 27, 2007

Ahmadinejad UN press conference transcript and videos are available at many websites so not really getting into the content of his press conference here I will only deal with the wife of Israel Kidnapped soldier’s wife question. She asked the question directly to Ahmadinejad and his reaction during the whole question was smile.

Goldwasser said she was not afraid to present the president with her question, and asked him, “Hello, my name is Karnit, the wife of Ehud Goldwasser, the soldier who has been held captive for over a year. Since you are the man that is behind the kidnapping due to the aid you grant Hizbullah, why don’t you allow the Red Cross to visit the two soldiers?” she asked.

The wife of this kidnapped Israeli soldier is trying desperately everything possible to get some news about his abducted husband from last one year. There was really nothing wrong with her sneaking into the UN press conference except the question. She blamed Amhadiinejad for her soldier kidnapping which is not the truth, it is the propaganda promoted by Israeli and US government. The propaganda is used by Israel and US government to brainwash their citizens by keep repeating the lies on print and electronic media. This poor wife of Israeli soldier is the simple case of Israeli and US government lies and my sympathies are with her as I can understand her feelings.

Ahmadinejad can’t be blamed for Israeli soldiers kidnapping. This is true that Iranian government has close ties with Hizbollah which get their financial and military aid. Israeli government is the recipient of biggest US financial and military aid compared to the rest of the world. She has to look this matter in broad perspective, Ahmadinejad is responsible for two Israeli soldiers kidnapping than Bush regime and all the previous US governments are responsible for illegal abduction of tens of thousands of Palestinians and Lebanese who are in Israeli prisons for decades. These Palestinians and Lebanese prisoners are also the sons, husbands, fathers and the families don’t have any information these prisoners.

Dear Sister Karnit you are the victim of Israeli and US government wrong policies of aggression oppressions and occupation. Look at the facts that these two Israeli soldiers were kidnapped to negotiate the release of Lebanese prisoners. The Israeli government refused to get engaged in any negotiations instead attacked Lebanon carpet bombing the villages with cluster bombs killing thousands of innocent women children and unarmed civilians. The best way to pursue the release of your husband is to put pressure on your own government to start the negotiations with Hizbollah for their prisoners who were illegally abducted and are in your country prisons. The peace is only possible with your Arab neighbors when majority of Israelis stop supporting the wrong policies of their government.

The soldiers kidnapped by Hizbollah according to my analysis are alive and treated very well as they are Hizbollah greatest chance of getting their own prisoners released.

Hugo Chavez skip UN General Assembly.

Posted by QB on September 25, 2007

This is very disappointing news for me that Hugo Chavez is not attending the General Assembly session this year. He speak with Ahmedinejad on phone and congratulated him on his address at Columbia University and criticize the insults he has to face for accepting the University invitation.

Caracas, September 25th, 2007/ The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez, confirmed that he will not attend the 62nd UN Annual General Assembly, where he was supposed to give a speech next September 26. He has sent Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Ministry Nicolás Maduro in his place.

The Venezuelan president also mentioned that the UN General Assembly is a useful scenario to unmask the Empire’s hostile attitude in its own “lair” and to directly talk to the U.S. people. He pointed out he will closely follow each speech and that he is in constant touch with Venezuela’s representatives in this event.

Solidarity with President Ahmadineyad:

President Chávez also said that he spoke by phone with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was attacked with insults by the president of Columbia University, which invited him to give a speech to its students.

“I congratulate him, in the name of the Venezuelan people, before a new aggression of the U.S. empire,” Chavez said.

According to the Bolivarian leader, the Iranian president was the object of an ambush. Likewise, he stated that after participating in the UN General Assembly, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will visit Bolivia in order to endorse a set of energy cooperation agreements with his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales, and Venezuela in order to strengthen bilateral relations.

Nicaragua’s Ortega Lashes Out at US

Posted by QB on September 25, 2007

Danial Ortega very correctly criticize US for opposing Iran and North Korea nuclear programs like me pointing out that US is the country with most WMD and the only nation on earth to use it on Nagasaki and Heroshima innocent civilians.

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has lashed out at the United States for criticizing Iran and North Korea for their nuclear programs.

At the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday, Mr. Ortega asked what right the United States has to question a country that is seeking nuclear development for peaceful – or even military – purposes.

He said the United States not only possesses the greatest nuclear arsenal in the world, but is the only country to use nuclear weapons on civilians – in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II.

The Nicaraguan leader said the best path for humanity is for nuclear weapons not to exist, and he called on the United States to take the first step in nuclear disarmament.

Since taking office in January, Mr. Ortega has strengthened Nicaragua’s ties with countries critical of the United States such as Iran, North Korea and Venezuela.

He also has accused the U.S. of supporting opposition groups to undermine his leftist government.

Mr. Ortega has a long history of opposing the United States. His Soviet-backed Sandinista guerrilla movement swept the U.S.- backed Anastasio Somoza from power in 1979. The U.S. countered by supporting what were known as Contra rebels to try to oust Mr. Ortega.

Ahmadinejad UN Speech full of fire and truth. UN General Assembly 2007 Speech Transcript.

Posted by QB on September 25, 2007

Ahmadinejad speech was full of fire at UN General Assembly where he criticize USA Britain France Germany and other USA European allies without mentioning their names. Ahmadinejad this year speech was better than his last year UN General Assembly speech. Ahmadinejad very strongly criticized the UN Security Council which is dominated by the big five permanent members using it to protect their own interests with punishing the countries with brutal embargo and sanctions.

Ahmadinejad did mentioned the human rights violations of US government by clearly pointing out to secret prisons wire taping of its own citizens. Ahmadinejad criticize the Israel Zionist government.

The full transcript of his speech will be posted as soon it get available on the internet. Reading the full transcript of his speech will help the people to understand his point of view. Following are few quotes from his speech.

“In the last two years, abusing the Security Council, the arrogant powers have repeatedly accused Iran and even made military threats and imposed illegal sanctions against it,” the Iranian leader said.

“Fortunately, the IAEA has recently tried to regain its legal role as support of the rights of its members while supervising nuclear activities,” he said. “We see this as a correct approach adopted by the agency.”

“Previously, they illegally insisted on politicizing the Iranian nation’s nuclear case, but today, because of the resistance of the Iranian nation, the issue is back to the agency, and I officially announce that in our opinion the nuclear issue of Iran is now closed and has turned into an ordinary agency matter,” Ahmadinejad said.

Iran will now “pursue the issue through its appropriate legal path, one that runs through the IAEA, and to disregard unlawful and political impositions by the arrogant powers,” he said.

Speaking to reporters later, Ahmadinejad attempted to clarify Tehran’s stance on its nuclear program.

“It’s closed as a political issue,” he said, stressing that it is a legal issue “and therefore should have been examined solely within the framework of the IAEA.”

“However, certain big powers … have made every effort to turn a simple legal issue into a very loud, controversial, political issue,” he said.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): In the name of God, the compassionate and the merciful, oh, God, hasten the arrival of Imam al-Mahdi and grant him good health and victory and make us his followers and those who attest to his rightfulness.

Mr. President, excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, I am pleased and grateful to the almighty to have the opportunity once again to attend this important universal forum.

In the present tumultuous world and with the predominance of loud outcries, threats and tensions, and at a time when the big powers are unable to solve present problems, when mistrust in regional and international arenas is on the rise, when the psychological security of societies is being targeted by an onslaught of political and propaganda designs, and disappointment prevails over efficacy of policies and actions of the international organizations in the establishment of a durable peace and security, and the protection of human rights is being weakened, I plan to touch upon and explain the roots of and the ways out of these predicaments and some of the principal challenges facing our world.

I will also speak to you about the need for remedying the present situation, prospects for a brighter and more hopeful future, and about the appearance of the sublime and beauty, compassion and generosity, justice and blossoming of all the God-given human talents and the prominence of faith in God and realization of the promise of God.

I will then submit to your judgment the nuclear issue of Iran as a reality and testing ground for the measurement of honesty, efficacy, steadfastness and accomplishment.

In the closing part of my statement, I will offer my proposals.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): Dear friends and colleagues, as you are all aware, mankind is currently facing important, numerous and diverse challenges and I will refer to some of them.

One, organized attempts to destroy the institution of family and to weaken the status of women. Family is the most sacred and valuable human institution that serves as the center of the purest mutual love and affection amongst mothers, fathers and children, and as a safe environment for the nurturing of human generations and a fertile ground for the blossoming of talents and compassion.

This institution has always been respected by all peoples, religions and cultures. Today, we are witnessing an organized invasion by the enemies of humanity and plunderers to destroy this noble institution that is targeted by promoting lewdness, violence and by breaking the boundaries of chastity and decency.

The precious existence of women, as the manifestation of divine beauty and as the peak of kindness, affection and purity has been the target of heavy exploitation in recent decades by the holders of power and the owners of media and wealth.

In some societies, this beloved human has been reduced to a mere instrument of publicity and all the boundaries and protective shields of chastity, purity and beauty have been trampled. This is a colossal betrayal of human society, of succeeding generations and an irreparable blow to the pillar of social coherence, the family.

Two, widespread violations of human rights, terrorism and occupation.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): Unfortunately, human rights are being extensively violated by certain powers, especially by those who pretend to be their exclusive advocates.

Setting up secret prisons, abducting persons, trials and secret punishments, without any regard to due process, extensive tappings of telephone conversations, intercepting private mail, and frequent summons to police and security centers have become commonplace and prevalent.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): They use various pretexts to occupy sovereign states and cause insecurity and division, and then use the prevailing situation as an excuse to continue their occupation.

For more than 60 years, Palestine, as compensation for the loss that they incurred during the war in Europe, has been under occupation of the illegal Zionist regime.

The Palestinian people have been displaced or are under heavy military pressure, economic siege, or are incarcerated under abhorrent conditions. The occupiers are protected and praised, while the innocent Palestinians are subjected to political, military, and propaganda onslaught.

The people of Palestine are deprived of water, electricity, and medicine for the sin of asking for freedom. And the government that was freely elected by the people is targeted.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): Terrorists are being organized to attack the lives and property of the people with the blessings of the politicians and military officials of the big powers. The brutal Zionists carry out targeted assassinations of Palestinians in their homes and cities, and terrorists are decorated with medals of peace and receive support from the big powers.

On the other hand, they gather a number of Jews from different parts of the world through false propaganda and with the promise of providing them with welfare, jobs and food, and settle them in the occupied territories, exposing them to the harshest restrictions, psychological pressures and constant threats.

They prevent these people from returning to their homelands and by coercion and propaganda induce them to malevolence toward the indigenous Palestinian people.

Iraq was occupied under the pretext of overthrowing a dictator and the existence of weapons of mass destruction. The Iraqi dictator, who had been supported by the same occupiers, was disposed of, and no weapons of mass destruction were discovered. But the occupation continues under different excuses. No day passes without people being killed, wounded or displaced. And the occupiers not only refuse to be accountable and ashamed of their adventure, but speak in a report of a new market for their armaments as a result of their military adventure.

They even oppose the constitution the national assembly and the government established by the vote of the people while they do not even have the courage to declare their defeat and exit Iraq.

Unfortunately, we are witnessing the biter truth that some powers do not value any nation or human beings and the only things that matter to them are themselves, their political parties and their groups.

In their view, human rights are tantamount to profits for their companies and their friends. The rights and dignity of the American people are also being sacrificed for the selfish desires of those holding power.

Three, aggressions against indigenous cultures and national values.

Culture is the manifestation of identity and the key to the survival of nations and the foundation for their interaction with others. In an organized movement, indigenous cultures that are messengers of monotheism, love and fraternity are being subjected to broad and destructive aggressions. National customs and values are humiliated, and the self-esteem and character of nations are ridiculed and defamed.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): The purpose is to promote blind emulations, consumerism, skepticism toward God and human values, and plundering other people’s wealth by big powers.

Fourth: Poverty, illiteracy, health care issues, and the gap between the poor and rich. While a major part of the natural environment in Asia, Africa, and Latin American is being plundered by the political and economic domination of certain powers, the situation of poverty and depravation is very alarming.

Let me draw your attention to some data which was issued by the United Nations. Every day, close to 800 million people go to bed hungry, and about 980 million suffered from absolute poverty with less than $1 a day in purchasing power.

People of 31 countries, equivalent to 9 percent of the world’s population, have an average life expectancy of 46 years, which is 32 years less than the average of developed countries.

The gap between the rich and the poor in some parts of the world has increased by 40 times, and many countries, the majority of the people are deprived of access to education and schooling.

In developing countries, the maternal mortality rate during pregnancy is 450 per 100,000. This ratio is seven in the richer nations and the ratio of mortality of new births is 59 for developing countries and six for the richer nations. One-third of the deaths in the world, or 50,000 people daily, result from poverty. I believe this data clearly demonstrates the tragic situation dominating economic interactions in the world.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): Five: Ignoring noble values and the promotion of deception and lies. Some powers sacrifice all human values, including honesty, purity, and trust for the advancement of their goals.

They propagate skepticism and deception in their relations between states and peoples. They lie openly, level baseless charges against others, act contrary to legal norms and damage the climate of trust and friendship.

They openly abandon morality and noble values in their relations with others and substitute selfishness, supremacy, amnesty and imposition for justice, respect for others, love, affection and honesty. They sacrifice all the good things and the sublime in life for their own greed.

Six: Violations of rules of international law and disrespect of commitments. Some who were themselves the drafters of international law openly and easily violate it and apply discriminatory policies and double standards to others. They drafted disarmament regulations, but every day test and stock pile new generations of lethal weapons.

They frame the Charter of the United Nations, but show disrespect to the right of self-determination and independence of sovereign nations. They conveniently abrogate their (inaudible) and do not yield to laws concerning protection of the environment. Most of the violations of international obligations are committed by a few global powers.

Seven: Escalation of threats and the arms race.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): Some powers, whenever their logic fails, simply use the language of threat. The huge arms race casts a shadow of threats over the globe. The nations of Europe were the victims of two world wars and a number of other devastating conflicts and were subjected to the consequences of the Cold War for many decades.

Today, they’re living under the shadow of the threat and their interests, security and lands are endangered under the shadow of the arms race imposed by certain big powers. A bullying power allows itself the right to set up a missile system, makes the life of the people of the continent bitter and lays the ground for an arms race.

Some rulers, who superficially appear to be powerful, believe the tools they have at hand can be used at any time and for any purpose, and consequently, threaten others and cast a shadow of insecurity over nations and regions.

International organizations and mechanisms clearly lack the capacity to overcome problems and challenges to put in fair — place fair and just relations of peace, fraternity and security. There is hardly any government or nation that places much hope in these mechanisms to secure its rights or defend its independence, territorial integrity and national interests.

Dear friends and colleagues, there are many more challenges than the ones I have enumerated and I know that one would have introduced more if one had wanted to touch upon them. But I chose to confine myself to the ones I have stated. Now the important and decisive question concerns the roots and causes of these challenges.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): A scientific and careful analysis shows that the root of the present situation lies in two fundamental factors.

Without doubt, the first factor lies in the relations arising from the consequences of the Second World War. The victors of the war drew the road map for global domination and formulated their policies not on the basis of justice, but for ensuring the interests of the victors over the vanquished nations.

Therefore, mechanisms arising from this approach and related policies have not been capable of finding just solutions for global solutions since 60 years ago.

Some big powers still behave like the victors of the world war and regard other states and nations, even those that had nothing to do with the war, as the vanquished and humiliate other nations and demand extortion through condescending positions similar to that of the master-servant relationship of the Medieval ages.

They believe that they should have more rights than others and also are not accountable to any international organizations.

Mr. President, among all the ineffective bodies, unfortunately the U.N. Security Council ranks first. They have created circumstances in which some powers with exclusive and special right to veto in the Security Council act as prosecutor, judge and executioner, regardless of being a defendant or respondent.

It is natural for countries have been subjected to those powers’ infringements of their rights have no hope in getting what they deserve from the council.

Unfortunately, humanity has witnessed in all long wars, like the Korean and Vietnam wars, the war of the Zionists against the Palestinians and against Lebanon, the war of Saddam against the people of Iran, and the ethnic wards of Europe and Africa, one of the members of the Security Council was one of the belligerents who supported one party against the other, usually the aggressor for the conflict itself.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): Let’s look at Iraq. They first occupied the country and then received authorization from the Security Council, the same council in which the same occupiers have the right to veto.

Who should the people of Iraq complain about? And where should they take their complaints with hopes of securing their rights?

We saw in Lebanon that some powers for a long 33 days prevented the Security Council from taking any action against the Zionist regime with the hope of giving them time to achieve victory.

However, when they became disappointed in seeing their hopes unfulfilled, they decided to cease the hostility by adopting a resolution. But the duty of the Security Council is to prevent the expansion of conflicts, to put in place cease-fires, and to promote peace and safety.

To whom and what organization should the people of Lebanon complain?

Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen, the presence of some monopolistic powers has prevented the Security Council from performing its main duty which is the maintenance of international peace and security based on justice.

The credibility of the council has been tarnished and its efficacy in defending the rights of the U.N. member states has been undermined. Many nations have lost their confidence in the council.

Some other mechanisms, such as the monetary and banking mechanisms, are in the same undesirable situation and have been turned into tools for the imposition of the wishes of some powers on other nations.

It is evident that these mechanisms are not capable of responding to current needs and solving challenges and establishing fair and sustainable relations.

Dear colleagues, again, there is no doubt that the second and more important factor is some big powers’ disregard of morals, divine values, the teachings of the prophets and the instructions by the almighty God, as well as the rule of the (inaudible).

How can the incompetents, who cannot even manage and control themselves, rule humanity and arrange its affairs?

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): Unfortunately, they have put themselves in the position of God. They were in servitude to their own whims and the desire to have everything for themselves.

For them, human dignity and the lives, properties, and territories of others are no longer respected. Humanity has had a deep wound on its tired body, caused by impious powers, for centuries.

Today, the problems that people around the world face are mainly rooted in the disregard of human values and ethics, and also in the rule of the selfish and incompetent.

Friends, ladies, and gentlemen, the only sustainable way to the betterment of mankind is the return to the teachings of the divine prophets, monotheism, respect for the dignity of humans, and the flow of love and affection in all relationships, ties, and regulations, and to reform the present structures on this basis.

To fulfill this objective, I invite everyone — everybody to form a front of fraternity, amity, and sustainable peace, based on monotheism and justice, under the name of “Coalition for Peace,” (ph) to prevent incursions and arrogance and to promote the culture of affection and justice.

I hereby announce that, with the help of all independent, justice-seeking and peace-loving nations, the Islamic Republic of Iran will be heading down this path.

Monotheism, justice, and compassion for humans should dominate all the pillars of the U.N. And this organization should be a forum for justice, and every member should enjoy equal spiritual and legal support.

The general assembly, as the representative of the international community, should be considered the most important pillar of the U.N., in order to, free from any pressure and threats by the powers, take required measures for the reforming of the U.N. structures, and especially change the present status of the Security Council and defined new structures, based on justice and democracy with the purpose of becoming responsive to the present requirements and to be able to settle existing challenges, heading to the establishment of an enduring stability and security.

Mr. President, Excellencies, the nuclear issue of Iran is a clear example of how such mechanisms perform and the prevailing thoughts behind them.

You are all aware that Iran is a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency and has always observed its rules and regulation, and has had the most extensive cooperation with this agency in all areas.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): All our nuclear activities have been completely peaceful and transparent. According to the statute of the IAEA, any member has a number of rights and obligations. In fact, all members have to stay on a peaceful path and, under the supervision of the agency, assist other members. And they are entitled to be supported by the agency and have access to the fuel cycle with the help of the agency and its members.

Thus far, Iran has fulfilled all of its obligations but has been deprived of other members’ technical assistance and, even at times, of the agency’s support.

For about five years, some of the aforementioned powers have, by exerting heavy pressure on the IAEA, attempted to prevent the Iranian nation from exercising its rights. They have derailed Iran’s nuclear issue from its legal tracks and have politicized the atmosphere to impose their wishes through taking advantage of all their potentials.

The government of Iran spared no effort to build confidence. But they were not satisfied with anything short of the complete halt of all activities, even those related to research and university fields. They were only after depriving the Iranian people of their inalienable rights, even to the extent that those centers not involved in the fuel cycle or not in need of supervision by the agency were closed.

After three years of negotiations and attempts to build confidence, the Iranian nation came to the firm belief that the main concern of these powers is not the possible deviation of Iran’s nuclear activities, but is to prevent its scientific progress under this pretext.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): And if this trend continues, there will be no possibility for Iran to enjoy its rights, not even in the next 20 years.

Therefore, Iran decided to pursue the issue through its appropriate, legal path, one that runs through the IAEA, and to disregard unlawful and political impositions by the arrogant powers.

In the last two years, abusing the Security Council, the arrogant powers have repeatedly accused Iran and even made military threats and imposed illegal sanctions against it.

However, by the grace of faith in God and national unity, Iran has moved forward step by step, and now our country is recognized as one with the capacity for industrial-scale fuel cycle production for peaceful purposes.

Unfortunately, the Security Council, in dealing with this obvious legal issue, was influenced by some bullying powers and failed to uphold justice and protect the rights of the Iranian people.

Fortunately, the IAEA has recently tried to regain its legal role as supporter of the rights of its members while supervising nuclear activities. We see this as a correct approach adopted by the agency.

Previously, they illegally insisted on politicizing the Iranian nation’s nuclear case, but today, because of the resistance of the Iranian nation, the issue is back to the agency.

And I officially announce that in our opinion the nuclear issue of Iran is now closed and has turned into an ordinary agency matter.

Today, many important questions have been raised about the nuclear activities of certain powers within the IAEA which should be dealt with properly.

Of course, Iran has always been and will be prepared to have constructive talks with all parties. I would like to thank all the nations and countries that during this difficult period defended the legal rights of my nation and motherland. And I also want to appreciate the members of the Non-Aligned Movement, our friends in the Security Council and the IAEA’s Board of Governors, the committed and law-abiding experts of the agency, and its director general, for their standing by the law.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): I would also like to announce that, unlike the monopolistic powers, the Iranian nation is ready to offer to other members its experiences in the form of educational programs and based on its obligations under the agency’s statue and under its supervision.

Now I would like to address those who have shown hostility toward the Iranian nation for about five years, offended and accused my people who have contributed to the history and civilization of the world. And I advise them to learn from history and their recent actions.

They badly mistreated the great Iranian nation, but they should be careful not to inflict the same on other members of international organizations and not to sacrifice the dignity of international organizations for the sake of their unlawful wishes.

Today, the nations of the world are wide awake and resistant. If you reform yourself, the world, the whole world will be reformed. Nations are inherently good and can coexist peacefully. Those powers should endeavor to serve their own people, others do not need them.

Is it not high time for these powers to return from the path of arrogance and obedience to Satan to the path of faith in God? Would they not like to be cleansed of the impurities, submit to the will of God and believe in him?

Faith in God means believing in honesty, purity, justice and compassion for others. They can be certain that they will benefit from purity, honesty, justice, and loving and respecting the human dignity.

They can also be certain that such values are more and more considered appropriate, valuable and beautiful by the nations of the world.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): This is the invitation of all the divine prophets, from Adam to Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus Christ, and Mohammed, peace be upon up him. If they accept this invitation, they will be saved. And if they don’t, the same calamities that befell the people of distant past will befall them, as well.

According to the Holy Koran, one who does not answer the divine call should not think that he has weakened God on earth. He has no companion but God and he is clearly engulfed by darkness. They have nothing of their own and cannot escape from the dominion of the rule of God and his will.

In this important gathering, I have to remind them of the following words of the almighty which has been mentioned in the Holy Koran. Do they not look at the powers and governments which came before them? If the people of the past had actually possessed something, they would have kept it and would not have let you possess it now.

God destroyed them because of their sins and nobody could protect them against the will of god. These powers have to know that the thoughts and methods based on oppression and injustice are doomed to failure. Do they not see the signs of vigilance and resistance based on monotheism, philanthropy and the justice-seeking spirit of the nations of the world? Do they not notice that we are nearing the sunset of the time of empires? I hope that this invitation will have a practical answer.

Excellencies, peoples and governments are not obliged to obey the injustice of certain powers. These powers, because of the reasons already mentioned, have lost the competence to lead the world. I officially declare that the age of relations arising from the second World War, as well as the era of materialistic thoughts based on arrogance and domination, is well over now.

AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): Humanity has passed a perilous precipice, and the age of monotheism, purity, affinity, respecting others, justice and true peace-loving has commenced.

It is a divine promise that the truth will be victorious and the Earth will be inherited by the righteous. You who are free, believers and the people of the world, put your trust in God.

You who crave high values, wherever you are, try to prepare the grounds for the fulfillment of this great divine promise by serving the people and seeking justice.

The era of darkness will end. Prisoners will return home. The occupied lands will be freed. Palestine and Iraq will be liberated from the domination of the occupiers. And the people of America and Europe will be free of the pressures exerted by the Zionists.

The tenderhearted and humanity-loving governments will replace the aggressive and domineering ones. Human dignity will be regained.

The pleasing aroma of justice will permeate the world, and people will live together in a brotherly and affectionate manner.

Striving in this way to surrender rule to the righteous and perfect human, the promised one, is indeed the final cure for the wounds of humanity, the solution of all problems and the establishment of love, beauty, justice and a dignified life all over the world.

This belief and endeavor is the key to unity and the constructive interaction among nations, countries, the people of the world and all the true justice seekers.

Without any doubt, the promised one who is the ultimate savior, along with Jesus Christ and other holy saviors, will come. In the company of all believers, justice seekers and benefactors, he will establish a bright future and fill the world with justice and duty.

This is the promise of God, therefore it will be fulfilled.

Come, let’s play a part in the fulfillment of all this glory and duty. I wish for a bright future for all human beings and the dawn of the liberation of and freedom for all humans, and the rule of love and affection all around the world, as well as the elimination of oppression, hatred, and violence, a wish which I expect will be realized in the near future.

Thank you very much.

Israeli warplanes step up overflights over Lebanon.

Posted by QB on October 23, 2006

Beirut – Israeli jets intensified Monday their overflights over Lebanon reaching areas over the capital Beirut, Lebanese police said.

‘More than 20 overflights were registered over areas in the capital, its surroundings and southern Lebanon,’ the police said.

Two jets flew low over Beirut, police said.

Police said four planes carrying out mock raids over the southern port city of Tyre, as Lebanese Muslims celebrated the end of Ramadan.

‘These are the most intensive overflights since the August 14 ceasefire,’ the police said.

The Israeli violations came days after France, which currently commands the UN peacekeeping force in south Lebanon, said the force could open fire on Israeli jets violating the terms of a UN ceasefire.

Resolution 1701 which ended 33 days of fighting between Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah calls for the disarmament of all militia in Lebanon, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon, and the deployment of a UN peacekeeping force along side the Lebanese army in the south.

Israel action of mock air attack is provocation to Hezbollah and does not look like they really are looking for peaceful solutions in Middle East. Israel has step up these over flights after UNIFIL complaints that these overflights are clear violation of UN Resolution 1701 with General comments to use force. Israel is showing off their power in very childish immature way to UN that they are helpless and can’t do anything against them because their all actions and atrocities are backed by US. They know US will veto all UN resolutions which goes against the interest of Israel. They are like the spoiled child of US government who are allowed to do whatever mischief they want and still claim that they are peace loving people.

Iraq – Bush’s failure.

Posted by QB on October 21, 2006

Iraqi puppet Prime Minister Nouri al-Malaki has barred the Health Ministry from releasing civilian casualties figures to United Nations. Nouri al-Malaki should know that the whole world knows the high Iraqi civilians casualties since Bush invaded Iraq in 2003. Bush regime shock and awe destroyed Baghdad and killed tens of thousand innocent children, women, elderly, unarmed civilians. Nouri al-Malaki who is faithful slave of his masters in White House can’t hide the civilian deaths.

US President George W Bush said that he will resist election-year pressure for a major shift in strategy in Iraq, despite growing doubts among Americans and anxiety over the war among Republican MPs.

“Our goal in Iraq is clear and it’s unchanging,” Bush told Republican loyalists, denouncing Democrats who want a course correction as supporting a “doubt and defeat” approach.

This Bush statement is no surprise to me because that’s what I had written few days back that he will reject all withdrawal proposals because of foolish arrogance and also because he is denying the facts on the ground living in imaginary world where he still believe that US can win war in Iraq.

The following Time article confirm what I am writing about Iraq since the beginning of the war.

No, Iraq Is Not Vietnam.

“We’re still studying the situation and trying to figure out exactly what’s going on there,” Snow told reporters. The spokesman declined to specify the reason for the fighting.

It was reported that the battle between Shiite militia loyal to radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr and Iraqi police forces started on Thursday, and have left at least 15 people dead and more than 90 others wounded.

Gunmen loyal to Shi’ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr clashed with police near Baghdad on Saturday, one day after hundreds of Sadr’s militiamen attacked police stations and battled Iraqi forces in a town further south.
The Southern Iraq did never had the resistance since US invasion except only when Muqtuda Al Sadr had few clashes with occupation military when they issued his arrest warrant in murder case of one of the Shia Religious leader who was supporting this illegal criminal invasion. The situation now has changed and we are see the violence breaking out against the Iraqi Defence Forces and police which could be diverted towards Britain troops in the future. The situation than will be as bad as the Sunni triangle commonly referred by US occupation military for Iraqi Resistance in Sunnis dominated areas in Baghdad and North West of Baghdad. There are only about 9000 British troops in Southern Iraq who can’t control the full blown resistance as we clearly see that US troops who are over 140,000 are unable to control the Sunni Resistance.

Bush do not care how many people are dying everyday in Iraq or their worst living contidions all he is worried about is to win next month midterm elections with associating it wiith terrorists who are trying to defeat Republicans because they are tough on war on terror.

The another reason, according to the president, was that “the terrorists are trying to influence public opinion around the world and right here in the United States.” He always have the simple stupid analysis of everything going in wrong direction by blaming it on terrorists who hate American freedom and democracy. The majority of ignorant American voters believe his words go out and vote for him and his party to save their American way of life freedom and democracy.

The deaths raised the October toll to 78, surpassing the previous high figure of 76 in April and making October _ with more than a week left _ on course to be the deadliest month for American service members in two years.

Guatemala unable to win two third votes.

Posted by QB on October 21, 2006

The President, Hugo Chavez, has said Venezuela will not abandon its bid for a UN Security Council seat despite trailing US backed Guatemala in repeated rounds of voting.

“Venezuela does not surrender,” Chavez said in a speech yesterday night. “I say it here to the whole world, Venezuela will continue waging this battle.”

Chavez called it a struggle against the US ”empire” and accused Washington of leading a fierce campaign of “blackmail, pressure, threats of all sorts,” during 22 rounds of voting over two days in the UN General Assembly.

The deadlock appeared to set up the sort of high-profile confrontation that Chavez has thrived on in repeated diplomatic bouts with Washington. Guatemala, unable to obtain the required two-thirds majority to win, was left with 102 votes to Venezuela’s 77 in the final ballot of the day. Voting is to resume tomorrow after a day off to allow for consultations.

In Guatemala, President Oscar Berger said his country also would stay in the race.

“We have won in all the rounds of voting, except for one tie,” Berger told reporters. “Having had so much support from so many countries reflects that we merit the seat, and I am confident that we will get the 22 votes that we still lack.”

Chavez said he has nothing against Guatemala but that it was sad how the US takes the name of a country to use it for its imperialist interests.

This must be too humiliating for Bush regime. All their bullying threads, cutting off financial aids black mailing did not help them so secure UN Security Concil seat for their puppet country.

UNIFIL suggests force against Israel. Update.

Posted by QB on October 20, 2006

This is interesting report where General Alain Pellegrini, commander of the UNIFIL is suggesting to change the UN Resolution 1701 to use force to stop Irael violations of Lebanon air space. General Pellegrini also denied Israel charges that weapons smugling from Syria to Hezbollah.

UNIFIL suggests force against Israel.

The Bush regime has already rejected any change in UN 1701 resolution to use force against Israel.

Israel said it would continue air force flights over Lebanon despite a rebuke from France.

Defense Minister Amir Peretz said Sunday the surveillance flights over Lebanon were needed to track arms shipments to Hezbollah combatants from neighboring Syria.

“As long as attempts to smuggle arms into Lebanon persist, the legitimacy of Israeli overflights increases,” he told the Cabinet.

Israeli debate about the overflight policy was stirred up by French Defense Minister Michele Alliot-Marie, who said last Friday that violations of Lebanese airspace threatened to undermine the Aug. 14 truce that ended Israel’s war with Hezbollah.

She also hinted that French and other troops making up the bolstered U.N. peacekeeper force in southern Lebanon could perceive the Israeli overflights as a threat and fire on the planes in self-defense.

Peretz called Alliot-Marie’s remarks “inappropriate.”

He said international peacekeepers stationed in Lebanon “should act against Hezbollah and not against Israel.”

Israel can get away with anything because they have US unconditional support on their side. Peretz know that UN is helpless to take any action or helpless to implement any of its resolution because it will be strongly opposed by US.

Iran Nuclear Program.

Posted by QB on October 15, 2006

The latest on Iran’s refusal to stop its legal uranium enrichment under NPT has gone into background after Kim Jong Il Nuclear test. This Iran uranium enrichment is very much alive with the EU and US Bush regime who will go to UN Security Council once they pass the resolution against North Korea for sanctions. EU negotiations ended because Iran refused to give up its legal right of uranium enrichment even for one day.

The words war continue US claiming that North Korean sanctions will sway Iran away from its Nuclear program and Iran threatening to limit the UN sanctions if a resoltuions passes against their peaceful Nuclear program. Bush regime assessment of Iran is wrong like all the other assessments they have made in last six years. Iran will continue its Nuclear program which they claim is for peaceful energy purposes beause it has become the National pride issue for Iranians. The sanctions will not hurt Iran much because of Oil and its good relations with China and Russia who will make sure not to pass any tough sanctions against Iran.

The Iranian government should take more bold step and throw IAEA inspector out of their country because most of them are CIA spies who are the biggest security risk for nuclear facilities and sites. They provide the sensitive information to CIA including site maps, the architectual designs and every minor details. I believe Iran will not ready to take this bold step so the safest way to go for their Nuclear development by carefully scrutinizing all IAEA inspectors.

US propaganda against Hugo Chavez.

Posted by QB on October 15, 2006

The US started their propaganda against Hugo Chavez before Monday UN Vote on one non permanent Security Council seat.

As Venezuela lobbies for a U.N. Security Council seat, President Hugo Chavez has bolstered its chances by spreading petrodollars across the Americas and beyond extending an airstrip on a Caribbean island, sending emergency food aid to Africa, fixing a rundown hospital in Uruguay. At Uruguay’s Hospital de Clinicas, a state-of-the-art transplant unit is being built with Venezuelan money. The emergency ward’s leaky roof and exposed cinderblocks have given way to freshly painted walls, windows in rust-corroded frames are being replaced, and new elevators are on order. Hospital director Graciela Ubach put a hand over her heart to show her gratitude to Chavez. “I thank him with my soul,” she said. “Honestly, it’s been a dream for the country.”

This is not bribe as US is trying to make it look like one for UN Security Council seat. These steps are taken to provide better facilties to the poor people of the world which is very nice charitable efforts by a good Christian Hugo Chavez. Hugo Chavez as a good Christian believe in sharing their wealth with the poor people of the world.

The other aid which is according to US is bribes.

The public hospital struggled for funding for years until Venezuela came through with $20 million half in donations and the other half to be paid off in reciprocal training and other services.

Other Chavez pledges include: $260 million in financing to repave a Jamaican highway and $17 million in upgrades to airports on the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Dominica.

Chavez also came up with $5 million for an Uruguayan tire plant, glass business and leather factory as part of a $400 million flow of aid since March 2005, when Uruguay’s leftist President Tabare Vazquez took office, according to the Venezuelan Embassy in Uruguay.

Hugo Chavez given more aid to neighboring countries than US.

U.S. aid to Jamaica for 2005-2006 is listed as $42 million; the Chavez-financed highway job is six times costlier. The Venezuelan figure of $400 million for Uruguay compares with U.S. aid of $49,000 through the State Department plus an estimated $800,000 in military education and counter-drug assistance. No U.S. money was specifically set aside for Dominica.

Latin America, Africa, Asia needs leaders like Hugo Chavez. Following will be he reaction of majority of the people of the world.

“I thank him with my soul,” she said. “Honestly, it’s been a dream for the country.”

North Korea UN Security Council Resolution.

Posted by QB on October 15, 2006

The US proposed North Korea sanctions resolution did not passed because of China and Russia has some very strong disagreement on this draft resolution. China’s U.N. ambassador Wang Guanya said Saturday that his government still carried reservations concerning the formalities of the resolution. He noted that the sanctions should be firm without further isolating N. Korea and pressuring another nuclear test.

Wang pointed to a provision allowing other nations to inspect cargo going in and out of N. Korea, stating that, “Once it comes into operation, it could easily lead, by one side or the other, to a provocation of conflict, which could have serious implications for the region.”

Russian officials have voiced similar concerns.

The statement coming out from Pakistan government is a real surprise because they too are against imposing sanctions on North Korea. Pakistan concerns are genuine that these sanctions will hurt the people of North Korea. Pakistan is opposed to any international sanctions against the country that would hurt its people. “We are not in favour of sanctions that would adversely affect the people of Korea,” Foreign Office Spokesperson Tasnim Aslam told Dawn newspaper in a report published yesterday .

Bush regime has no idea how to resolve these crisis diplomatically trying to do it their own Texan cowboy way. Israeli government use to much propaganda loudly in favor of sanctions and even invading courtries who are trying to acquire Nuclear technology without mentioning their own secret Nuclear Weapons of Mass Destructions.

EU breaking up Iran Nuclear negotiations.

Posted by QB on October 14, 2006

According to several sources, the European Union will announce on Tuesday that it is breaking off talks with Iran on its nuclear programme. The implication is the talks are producing nothing that can defuse the crisis, and that the matter will then go to the UN Security Council where there is, according to the French foreign minister, a “large degree of agreement” between its permanent members and Germany, which has also been involved in the negotiations. Iran thus appears to be drinking in the last chance saloon, and the message coming from the West is clear; Iran has just over 72 hours to allay international fears over its use of nuclear technology.

Bush regime anxiously waiting for UN Security Council sanction resultion on Iran Nuclear program. China and Russia backed off from imposing tough sanctions will not let the UN and US and its European allies to pass a tough resolution against Iran.  China and Russia has big oil business interests with Iran.

Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf speech at UN.

Posted by QB on October 11, 2006

Madam President,
Mr . Secretary-General,
Distinguished Delegates,
I am very happy to see a sister from fraternal Bahrain presiding over this i mportant session of the General Assembly. Your election symbolizes the increasingly
significant role women are playing in the Muslim world. Madam President. you Nvi ll have Pakistan’s full support in fulfilling your challenging responsibilities.
2. Since the devastating earthquake in the northern regions of Pakistan last October, this is the first occasion that I am addressing this august body. I. therefore,
take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude for the relief and financial assistance we received from around the world. We were deeply moved by the global
solidarity displayed in the hour of our distress and need.

Madam President,
3. Multilateral cooperation is the key to addressing the existing and emerging challenges of the 21 ” Century — political disputes, terrorism, proliferation, poverty.
hunger, disease, economic disparities, migration, unemployment, environmental degradation and natural disasters. We appreciate the Secretary General’s initiatives to equip t he United Nations to respond to these challen ges. But we are vet a distance from the vision endorsed at the 2005 UN Summit.
4. Over the past six-years, despite daunting external and internal challenges, Pakistan has been transformed into a dynamic nation, moving rapidly towards the
vision of our Founder – a modern, progressive. Islamic and democratic state.
5. We have reformed our institutions of governance and our economy. Democratic governance has been introduced at the grass root level. We are focusin g on the uplift of the under privileged sections of our society — the poor, the women and the minorities. Women are being politically and economically empowered and protected against discrimination. Minorities have been politically mainstreamed. We have also unshackled the media.
6. Having successfully put our economy on an upsurge, we are now embarked on second generation reforms to spread the benefits of growth to all our people.
7. One of our strategic aims is to utilize Pakistan’s unique geo-strategic position to build trade. energy and communication corridors linking South Asia, West Asia,
Central Asia and China. Regional integration will accelerate economic growth and prosperity in our part of Asia, and beyond.
8. Of course. Pakistan faces daunting challenges, within and without. We are facing them boldly to build an environment of peace and stability in our region.

Madam President,
9. Pakistan desires a peaceful environment in the region. We have been engaged in a peace process with India, aimed at confidence building and resolving issues, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute. which have been the source of tension and conflict between the two countries in the past. Improved relations. and the conducive international environment. have brought an acceptable solution of this longstanding dispute within reach. I am confident that my positive meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Havana will help to carry forward the peace process which is vital for the future of both countries and for peace in South Asia and beyond.
10. A stable security environment is also important for рeace in our region. Pakistan has proposed the creation of a Strategic Restraint Regime in South Asia, encompassing minimum nuclear deterrence and a balance of conventional forces. We do not want to enter into an arms race. But we will do whatever is necessary to preserve the credibility of our minimum defensive deterrence level.
11. Pakistan has a legitimate requirement for nuclear power generation to meet the energy needs of our exрanding economy. As a responsible nuclear State, we will
continue to seek nuclear technology fòr power generation under IAEA safeguards. We cannot acce р t discrimination in the nuclear field.

Madam President,
12. Peace and stability in Afghanistan is in Pakistan’s vital interest. It will assure tranquillity on our Western frontiers. It will also enable Pakistan to realize its ambition
of linking Cen tral Asia and South Asia through Afghanistan and Pakistan.
13. Afghanistan confronts complex security, political and economic challenges including a resurgent Taliban who also threaten Pakistan’s efforts against extremism
and terrorism. The common challenge imposes a joint responsibility on Pakistan, Afghanistan and the coalition forces.
14. Problems along the bordering regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan are compounded by the continuing presence of over three million Afghan refugees, some of
them sympathetic to the Taleban. The incentives offered to the refugees for their voluntary return by the international community are minimal. A serious international
commitment is required to facilitate their repatriation.

Madam President,
15. The unfortunate history of our region has placed Pakistan in the frontline of the global campaign against terrorism. We cooperate daily with many countries including the United States and the United Kingdom. Our cooperation has pre-empted several fomr terrorist р lots, such as the one uncovered recently to blow up airliners flying London. Over the past tive years, Al-Qaeda has been significantly degraded as an organization .
16. While we confront terrorism, our strategy must seek to eliminate this phenomenon comprehensively. We cannot do so unless we understand and address the
root causes of terrorism today. How are terrorists able to find willing recruits even among educated youth in advanced and democratic societies? The reasons are clear.
17. Across the Muslim world, old con fl icts and new campaigns of military intervention have spawned a deep sense of desperation and injustice. Each new
battleground involving an Islamic state has served as a new breeding ground for extremists and terrorists. Indiscriminate bombings, civilian casualties, torture, human rights abuses, racial slurs and discrimination only add to the challenge of defeating terrorism.
18. In my view a two pronged strategy, which I call “Enlightened Moderation”, is required to address the situation. This strategy envisages that, apart from combating
terrorism frontally, the international community must undertake resolute efforts to resolve the con fl icts afflicting the Islamic world. Unless we end foreign occupation and suppression of Muslim peoples. terrorism and extremism will continue to find recruits among alienated Muslims in various parts of the world.
19. We also need to bridge, through dialogue and understanding, the growing divide between the Islamic an d Western worlds. In particular, it is imperative to end racial and religious discrimination against Muslims and to prohibit the defamation of Islam. It is most disappointing to see personalities of high standing oblivious of Muslim sensitivities at these critical moments.

Madam President,
20. The greatest challenge to global security; to the campaign against terrorism; to the promotion of harmony among civilization; to the credibility of the United Nations,
is the cauldron of conflict that is the Middle East. This was exemplified by the latest Israeli aggression against Lebanon. We hope that the resolution painstakingly brokered in the Security Council will lead to rapid and complete Israeli withdrawal and restoration of Lebanon’s sovereignty over its entire territory.
21 The attack on Lebanon has far reaching implications for the Middle East. The ability and relevance of the moderate forces to bring about a just peace in the region has been put to a severe test. The world must, however, still support them to address the fеstеrıng problems of the region, comprehensively and fairly. It is time to end Israel’s conflicts with all its neighbours. It is time, first and foremost, to en d the tragedy of Palestine. There is no doubt in our mind that this is the core of the challenge, not only to overcome the Iraq and Afghanistan problems, but also to deal with the menace of terrorism and extremism.
22. The confrontation over Iran’s nuclear programme threatens further instability in this already inflamed region. We are encouraged by the Iran and 5-1 negotiations and believe that this issue can be resolved peacefully in a manner that accommodates the legitimate rights and interests of all pa rt ies. Resort to coercion €nd, worse, the use of force, could lead to grave consequences. regional and global.

Madam President,
23 The dynamic economic performance of several developing countries, especially in Asia, has transformed the world’s geo-economic map. Yet, most developing
countries find that international trade and financial structures arc weighted against them. With the Doha Round in the doldrums; new modalities must be found to utilize the full potential of trade for development. Similarly, the international financial system should ensure a more equitable share of international liquidity and investment for the developing countries.

Madam President,
24. Unless the activities of the United Nations accommodate the concerns and priorities of its general membership, this Organization risks losing its global moral
authority. The General Assembly should reasse rt its Charter responsibilities, while the Security Council should be reformed to make its actions m ore democratic, transparent, inclusive and accountable to the general membership. The reform of the Security Council is of vital interest to every Member State and must be decided by consensus or the widest possible agreement.
25. This important session of the Assembly will elect the next Secretary General of the United Nations. Pakistan hopes that consensus will soon develop in the Security Council and this Assembly on a qualified candidate from Asia. Pakistan will extend its full support to the new Secretary-General, as we have to Mr. Kofi Annan, to build a United Nations that can advance the world decisively towards the noble vision of preventing the scourge of war and promoting better standards of life for all peoples in larger freedom.
I thank vou. Madam President.

North Korea Nuclear Test at appropriate time and very justified.

Posted by QB on October 9, 2006

The North Korean Nuclear Test come at appropriate time which is justified by reasoning that Kim Jong-Il has took this decision for the protection of his country and his own people. North Korea is living under constant threat from mentally unstable Bush regime since he included North Korea and Iran in his famous axis of evil speech. Bush regime who invaded Iraq because they know that Saddam Hussein did not have any Nuclear Weapons. Kim Jong-Il from Iraq invasion learned the right lesson that they have to quickly develop Nuclear Weapons to avoid US preemptive attack. North Koreans work quickly and I am glad that they have conducted successful Nuclear test for the protection of their country and people. Kim Jong-Il leadership and his strong will should be appreciated with countries like Iran must stop trying to act like children trying to convince the world that their Nuclear program is for energy purposes and go for the Nuclear Weapons like North Koreans.

The Nuclear Weapons program is so hypocritical unjust and dictatorial that by looking at it fairly can’t condemn weaker nations to developed their own Nuclear Weapons for their defence purposes. We already have enough WMD which are more than enough to destroy the whole world possessed by Big Five UN Security Council permanent members. These members are the biggest UN NPT violators who are sitting on piles of Chemicals, Biological, Nuclear Weapons and wants the rest of the world to sign NPT. This is pure hypocrisy and monopoly on Weapons which only US, China, Russia, France, UK have for the protection of their countries and people and the rest of the world population has to live under constant threat of invasion and occupation by USA, UK and Russia.

These US is the major supplier of Weapons of Mass Destructions to Israel which has changed the Middle East military balance of power in the region. Israel Nuclear program goes under US protection of veteos and Iran is threaten by EU and US sanctions and air strikes on small uranium enrichment program.

The US has approximately 500 billion military budget and they have problem with Hugo Chavez spending few billions on its military Weapons imports from China and Russia.

The US is in no position to take any military action against North Korea to pursue their regime change policy or air strike on its Nuclear facilities because that will bring death and destruction in millions. North Korea would have not conducted this Nuclear test if Bush regime had engaged in negotiations providing them assurances that they are not planning any attack for regime change and take back the “axis of evil” comments but this regime don’t know what diplomacy means in international relations.

The following is statement of North Korean UN Ambassador and I agree with him that this Nuclear test provides the peace guarantee in the reagion is not threat to paeace.

“It will be better for the Security Council of the United Nations to congratulate the DPRK scientists and researchers instead of doing such notorious, useless and rigorous resolutions or whatever,” Pak said, referring to the North by its formal name, the Democratic People’s Republic of North Korea.

While many council members said the test would be a threat to international peace and security, Pak claimed just the opposite.

“The nuclear test in the DPRK will greatly contribute in increasing the world deterrence of the DPRK” and will contribute “to the maintenance and guarantee of peace and security in the peninsula and the region,” he said.

This story will continue for days to come and Bush will hold press conference today and it would be interesting to listen what he has to say.
