Roger Federer Wimbledon loss.

Posted by QB on July 7, 2008

Roger Federer yesterday Wimbledon loss is too much of a shock to me that I really don’t feel like saying anything about this very sad result. All the credit goes to Rafael Nadal staying in the match and finish it off in his favor.

Federer in press conference said that he played good match, I don’t agree with him because he missed so many opportunities which could give him the record setting sixth Wimbledon Championship. The post match press conference is just after the conclusion of the match and I am sure that Federer himself was in shock. He will realize his mistakes onces he has chance of looking at the match critically and will avoid the same mistakes of getting panicky on important match points. Federer failed to materialize on the big important points of the match.

Federer has to win few Masters Series before US Open to keep his number 1 ranking.

Wimbledon – Week 1.

Posted by QB on June 28, 2008

Wimbledon week one is the one full of surprise upsets which I have never witness before on grass court tournament. Novak Djokovic was defeated by Mart Safin than Andy Roddick lost to Tipservic. Andy Roddick has very good record on grass court tournaments and was hoping to see play interesting match with Federer but he lost in early round. Andy Roddick Queens four time champion when lost to Nadal was not that surprising because he make comeback after suffer shoulder injury in Rome. Roddick said that he chocked on big points was the main reason for losing the match make more sense but he has to overcome all his fears for North America hart courts season and US Open.

Federer chances are better than ever to write history by winning sixth consecutive Wimbledon Championship. He is playing very well this what I can say by looking at the scores, as I did not get a chance to watch any Wimbledon matches. Federer will face Layton Hewitt in fourth round which will not be that easy because Hewitt fight till the last point. Federer will win at the end.

There were upsets on women side too, Maria Sharapova early exit, Ana Ivanovic lost to 133 ranked Chinese player. Watching French open women matches and now in Wimbledon start missing Justine Henin more because I believe she would have won one more French Open and her first Wimbledon Championship which is wide open. Justine Henin was the most talented tough tennis player on women side has to reconsider her retirement decision immediately instead of doing it few years latter like Martina Hingis, she has many more of tennis left in her.

Today will the first time will watch Wimbledon and add some more thoughts.

Wimbledon – Huge Upset.

Posted by QB on June 26, 2008

Wimbledon started and it was the first time look at the results on website this evening and find out that Marat Safin defeated Novak Djokovic who was one the the favorite to win title. This is really great news for me that now Roger Federer has one less opponent who has the game and nerve who can defeat him. Roger Federer win his match easily in straight sets.

Watch tennis on Saturday maybe by than someone would might create another upset by defeating Rafael Nadal.

Tennis – Pre Wimbledon Tournaments Started.

Posted by QB on June 9, 2008

The Queens grass court tournament has started and it is good to see Andy Roddick into men draw. Andy Roddick skip Rolland Garros because of shoulder injury is back in action. Rafael Nadal is also playing at Queens, he is the one clay court player becoming comfortable on grass which is very difficult for clay court players. Nadal and Djokovic would be the main obstacle for Roger Federer sixth straight Wimbledon  title with Andy Roddick who always had good results on grass. Roger Federer will play in Germany grass court tournament and he will not face Nadal or Djokovic as they are playing in Queens.

The final between Federer vs Nadal was big disappointment, Nadal crushing him by playing excellent tennis.

Wimbledon three weeks away.

French Open. Roger Federer vs Rafael Nadal Final Sunday.

Posted by QB on June 6, 2008

Federer and Nadal once again will face in French Open final on Sunday. Nadal played exceptionally well today defeating Djokovic in straight sets. The match was display of high quality tennis.

Federer defeated Gael Monfils of France in four sets with vulnerability not playing high quality tennis. Federer missed easy volleys on the net, engaging in long rallies, which does not benefit him, his serve not very effective as well. Monfils, on the other hand, played very very good tennis match showing his real potential. Monfils look like has matured player now and this is for the first time he has impressed me showing his cross court shorts angle shorts and the power. He will climb up to top ten players ranking if he just keep this level of game.

Federer has to come with different game plan if he wanted to win against the best clay court player Nadal. Federer can’t involve in long rallies with Nadal because he is the best returner of the ball in tennis, come to the court keeping his fear of losing another final to Nadal out of his mind. The taking the fear factor out will help him play high quality tennis. Federer play the match trying to finish the point as quickly as possible.

This is how he can win his first French Open title.

French Open Women Final will be played on Saturday.

Posted by QB on June 5, 2008

Women final will be battle between Ana Ivanovic and Dinara Safina. Safina defeated Kuznetsova easily and Ivanovic win interesting match defeated Jelena Jankovic. Invanovic is still favorite to win French Open.

Men semi finals are tomorrow and likely outcome looks like that final will be played Nadal and Federer. Nadal have to beat  Djokovic tomorrow to retain his number 2 ranking. Djokovic will be tough opponent for Nadal. I would like to see Djokovic win which will be very favorable for Federer. Federer can defeat Djokovic for his first French Open Title.

French Open.

Posted by QB on June 3, 2008

Ernests Gulbis played very good tennis but lost to Novak Djokovic, this teenager is talented player will very quickly rise to top rankings. The first semi final will be played between Nadal and Djokovic which will be an interesting match to watch because Nadal losing this match also means that he will lose his number 2 ranking to Djokovic. Nadal today played excellent match against Almagro who only manage to win three games in three sets.

Ana Ivanonic and Jelena Jankovic will meet in semi finals and the probable result will be Ivanovic winning the match. Ana Ivanovic has more fire power compared to Jankovic also she lack mental toughness to win the matches. Jankovic is adorable talented player has to learn to be mean and tough to win. The other women semi finalist is Kuznetsova playing against very unknown player hopefully will meet Ana Invanovic in Final.

The other two quarter finals will be played tomorrow hopefully Federer and Ferrer will advance to semi finals.

Maria Sharapova out.

Posted by QB on June 2, 2008

Dinara Safina defeated Maria Sharapova in three sets interesting match.

It will be interesting to see Novak Djokovic against young Gulbis which I believe will be played tomorrow. Gulbis has the game and heart to beat Djokovic.

Federer will face Gonzalez and it will be interesting match. Novak Djokovic will face young talented player Gulbis who has the game and heart to win this match. Ferrrer will play against Monfils and the chances are Ferrrer will be the winner because Monfils does not take the advantage of the situation to win points. Nadal will play Almagro and he certainly will win.

French Open – David Nalbandian upset.

Posted by QB on May 29, 2008

David Nalbandian lost to Jermey Chardy Frenchman ranked 145 was the upset of the day. Nalbandian was two set up lost the match in five sets. Nalbandian was not moving well must be some kind of injury.

James Blake lost to Gulbis young upcoming player was no surprise to me because he is the most unpredictable tennis player like Taylor Dent Mardy Fish.

Davydenko defeated his coutryman Safin in straight sets. Watching Safin match is always fun with his emotional burst and breaking his rackets.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal also win their matches.

French Open – Rain Interruptions.

Posted by QB on May 27, 2008

French Open first round matches still not completed after three days because of rain interruptions. The rain helped Nikolay  Davydenko today to recover cramps and win the match in three sets against Thomas Johansson. Davydenko had the injury timeout and get his thigh massage get his  thigh  strapped. Davydenko recovered when he return to the court moving without any pain and difficulty playing his shorts.

Amelie Mauresmo win in three sets. Wawrinka win in straight three sets.

The rain again suspended the just started match between Rafael Nadal and Thomaz Bellucci who is new left handed player showed few good shorts. This is my evil desire that somehow Thomaz Bellucci defeat Rafael Nadal removing the biggest hurdle for Roger Federer to win French Open. I have nothing against Rafael Nadal but wanted to see Roger Federer win this title. I like Rafael Nadal game and his good manners and decency. Thomaz Bellucci  is new can play without any fear and maybe record the biggest upset of the tournament.

Novak Djokovic is other player other than Rafael Nadal on Roger Federer nerve but he won’t be such a big threat on clay like Nadal.

French Open.

Posted by QB on May 26, 2008

French open started without Justine Henin unexpected retirement announcement before the tournament ranking at number 1 and at the age of 25, I sure will miss Justine Henin great champion.

The positive news is that Guillermo Coria return to ATP tour after two years lost in first round to Tommy Robredo in four sets but watching the highlights of the match it look like he has over come some of his mental fears and ready to get back on the tour. The reason he lost was due to lack of confidence which resulted in unforced errors double than Robredo. Coria was very exciting clay court player before French Open final which he lost to his country man Gaston Gaudio, a very unexpected lost. Coria after that final lost his all confidence and went into hiding without playing the last two seasons. Coria has very difficult path ahead with present ranking at 733 and he can turn this around with consistency and positive mental approach. Coria was mentally tough physically fragile player, before losing to Gaston Gaudio, has to become mentally tough guy on the tour.

I wish him best luck for remaining season and hope to see him back on tour with Australian Open.

Rafeal Nadal again defeated Roger Federer.

Posted by QB on May 19, 2008

Rafael Nadal defeated Roger Federer in Hamburg Masters final 7-5 6-7 6-4 increasing his head to head to 10-6. Roger Federer performance was very disappointing. This 2008 season started with Federer lost in Australia with disappointing loses in Indian Wells and Miami and Nadal too is not doing so well.

Roger Federer had the chances to win this match but he did not converted those opportunities into points. His strong weapon forehand did not work. His cross court shorts went wide. Federer give up when the score was 5-5 in the second set with tears in his eyes, he was lucky to win the second set but looked very uncomfortable and I know the result will not go in his favor.

Federer played the match with wrong strategy playing long rallies which will always be losing strategy against Nadal because he is one player who return all the shorts. Federer, if wanted to win against Nadal has to play the match to finish the points as quickly as possible. Federer also has to overcome his fear of Nadal.

Roland Garros starting  May 25 is the next big clay court tournament and Nadal is unbeaten in this tournament. Federer is still number 1 but he has to do very well in Roland Garros to keep his ranking. I want Federer to win at least one French Open, doing this he will be one win away to level Pete Sampras record.

Roger Federer Win Fourth Tennis Masters Cup.

Posted by QB on November 18, 2007

Roger Federer win his second consecutive Tennis Masters Cup Championship defeating David Ferrer in straight sets. 6-2 6-3 6-2. Roger Federer played excellent tennis as usual keeping David Ferrrer under pressure during the whole match. David Ferrer did not have the chance to settle down and regroup during the match. David Ferrer started the second set with more confidence and they were on serve with 3-3, Roger Federer break his serve in 7th game of second set. The set was over in the next Roger Federer service game. The third set was similar Roger Federer dominating the play. David Ferrer if had another opponent he could have win the championship but he lost the the most talented player in the history of Tennis.

Roger Federer with this win has again secured his number 1 ranking comfortably ahead of Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer will move ahead of Andy Roddick on Monday.

There were very good players in the past Pete Samprass, Ivan Lendyl, Goran Ivansovic but they all were no match to Roger Federer talent, his ability to play impossible shorts with ease and comfort. The tennis season is over for six weeks next season will start in January in Australia.

Shanghai Masters Cup – Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadel.

Posted by QB on November 17, 2007

Roger Feder defeated Rafael Nadal straight sets 6-4 6-1 victory. Roger Federer was at his best level. The first set was interesting Roger Federer gets into trouble on his own service games coming out of trouble with his serve. Roger Federer in first set was 0-30 win that game with four Aces. The second set was one sided, Roger Federer break Rafael Nadal in second game of the set and get another break in fourth game.

I did not watch David Ferer and Andy Roddick match but looking at the score it look like he was on fire 6-1 6-3. David Ferer also defeated Rafael Nadal in Robin Round match.

Roger Federer can relax because he will retain his number 1 ranking.

David Nalbaldian win his second Master Series Title with easy straight sets win over Rafael Nadal.

Posted by QB on November 4, 2007

David Nalbandian played the excellent tennis in BNP Paribas finals defeating Rafael Nadal 6-4 6-0. He did never give Rafael Nadal any chances at all to feel comfortable. David Nalbandian will again be in top ten ranking when the rankings come out on Monday. The second half of the season worked very well for David Nalbandian, also the second half of the season worked very well for Richard Gasquest (8) who has knocked out Tommy Robredo from Masters Cup Shanghai by rising to number eight stop. David Nalbandian (9) and Tommy Robredo (10) will go to Shanghai as alternate players, if some players drop out of the tournament they will replace them. This is the the end of the season for the rest of tennis players who did not qualify for Masters Cup Shanghai until January when new season start in Australia.

Roger Federer must win Master Cup Shanghai to keep his number one ranking.

Rafael Nadal defeated Marcos Baghdatis.

Posted by QB on November 3, 2007

Rafael Nadal defeated Marcos Baghdatis in very interesting three sets match and first to book his spot on final. Marcos Baghadatis had the chance to beat Rafael Nadal first time but he lost his concentration at the very crucial moment of the match in second set on serve at 5-4 30-30 score when he played unnecessary drop shot which went wide. The result is not what I wanted because Rafael Nadal is too close behind Roger Federer points and can end his record holding ranking for top ranking for consecutive weeks. Roger Federer has to win Shanghai Masters Cup to secure his number one ranking.

David Nalbandian defeated Richard Gasquet and final will be between him and Rafael Nadal. David Nalbanian has defeated Rafael Nadal in Madrid and he has the game to defeat him again, that result will make me very happy.

David Nalbandian get his form back defeated Roger Federer twice. Martina Hingis retire second time.

Posted by QB on November 2, 2007

David Nalbandian who was struggling on APT tour from one and half year suddenly find his form at Madrid Master series where he defeated Roger Federer Rafael Nadal Novak Djokovic to win his first master series title of the season. David Nalbandian defeated Roger Federer again yesterday in BNP Paribas in Paris in straight sets. David Nalbandian is always tough opponent for Roger Federer to win against him. Roger Federer now head 8-7 against David Nalbandian and that is because he win few very tough matches against him, they know each other since they were young boys of 12 years old playing junior. David Nalbandian defeated David Ferer in quarter final match and tomorrow he will play semi final against Richard Gasquet or Andy Murray. Rafael Nadal is in semi final and will face Marcos Baghdatis tomorrow.

The Masters Cup in Shanghai will start on Nov. 12 with top 8 ranking player.

This is very sad that Martina Hingis announced her retirement second time after testing positive for cocaine at Wimbledon.

In an out-of-nowhere end to Martina Hingis’ comeback, the five-time Grand Slam champion revealed Thursday she tested positive for cocaine at Wimbledon and will retire for a second time rather than fight what she called a “horrendous” accusation.“I am frustrated and angry,” the 27-year-old Hingis said at a news conference in Zurich, Switzerland, her voice breaking as she fought back tears. “I believe that I am absolutely, 100% innocent.”She read a prepared statement ending with the vow, “I have never taken drugs,” then left without taking questions.
WTA Tour chief executive Larry Scott said he recently found out about Hingis’ doping test from the player’s representatives — word had not reached him through official channels because it’s an ongoing case in which a hearing has yet to be held.
Although the formerly No. 1-ranked Hingis said she’s retiring in part because she doesn’t want to spend years dealing with the legal process, Scott said he expects the case to continue.

I believe her, it will be sad that will not see her on court in action.

Roger Federer religion.

Posted by QB on September 10, 2007

The people searching for Roger Federer religion increased significantly after Roger Federer US Open win. There are people who wants to know Roger Federer religion and than there are people who believe that Roger Federer is Jewish. These people who are searching to find out Roger Federer religion are religious idiots who wanted to own him for his religious beliefs and boasts about him belong to their faith. These people must know that Roger Federer has never talked about his religious beliefs in any of his interviews. Roger Federer many times mentioned in his interviews that he is world # 1 not Switzerland # 1 tennis player and he believe he belongs to the whole world.

There are tennis players who do show their religious affection during the match and post match press conferences but majority of tennis players stay away from the religion. There is one young talented player who love to kiss his cross after wining the points and this same player lost in the first round of US Open even he was kissing his cross looking up to heaven defeated by veteran. The God or cross or David star can’t help professional tennis players to win their matches, it is their game and how they handled the match on a given day make them win or lose not their religion.

Roger Federer is the most talented tennis player in the history of tennis because of his genius short making skills. He play unbelievable shorts from the angels which are impossible for any other player to play. He learned some of these shorts but most of his game is very natural. He is born to play tennis so intelligently and beautifully.  The people must watch his tennis and enjoy his game without trying to look into this personal life. Roger Federer in few years will be gone so enjoy his tennis as long as it last.

Roger Federer with fourth straight US Open Championship.

Posted by QB on September 9, 2007

Roger Federer win his fourth consecutive US Open Championship and I am sure that he has written new history to become the first player to win Wimbledon and US Open titles back to back four years. This all come on a day when Roger Federer was not playing his best tennis, his serve for first two sets were ordinary, his return game was way off for the entire match, he committed more backhand and forehands errors which on good day could have been clean winners and still the result is amazing winning in straight sets against very talented Novak Djokovic, as my prediction in my prematch analysis. This is Roger Federer 12 Grand Slam Title only two behind Pete Sampras which is very achievable starting from Australian Open in January. Roger Federer play excellent tennis on grass and this give us the hope that he there will also write new history winning Wimbledon for sixth straight year. If he achieve these goals by the middle season of next year than he sure will go to keep winning US Open.

Novak Djokovic is young talented player who had the opportunity to win the first set easily but he could not convert his six sets points which was clear sign of his nervousness and also it was due to Roger Federer excellent defense game. Roger Federer did not have any problem wining the first set in tiebreak once he had leveled the set. The second set was also was not so good for Roger Federer with is very ordinary poor quality of tennis and Novak Djokovic get the early break in the second set as well. Roger Federer did break Novak Djokovic to level the second set and once again second set was decided on tiebreak which Roger Federer win comfortably. There were no breaks in the third sets until game 10 when Roger Federer break Novak Djokovic serve to win US Open Title.

This is the quality of true champion which Roger Federer showed today by winning on a very bad day when he was no way near his level of game. All the credit goes to Roger Federer the best tennis player in the history of this game. Roger Federer also written one more record by winning 2.4 million dollars, 1.4 million is for the championship and 1 million was for winning the US Series. The season is almost over with very few tier 2 tournaments in Asia with only one tier 1 tournament in Shanghai Master Cup where top 8 ranking players will compete.

This is all for the tennis now unless something very interesting happened in Master Cup.
