Will Emergency Rule help Pervez Musharraf?

Posted by QB on November 3, 2007

Pervez Musharraf declared emergency rule effective immediately, Prime Minister, Assemblies are not disolved which he promised keep functioning. Pervez Musharraf immediately replace the Supreme Court Chief Justice Ifhikhar Chaudary by appointing new Supreme Court Chief Justice who took oath in Presidential House. Pervez Musharraf decision to replace Iftikhar Chaudary is right because he was misusing his powers, he had pending corruption charges for favoring his son in some business financial affairs. The Supreme Court Chief justice would have not make his first removal from his post when he was reinstated by the Court, but he took the confrontation course making personal war. Iftikhar Chaudary deserved the firing.

Benazir Bhutto arrived in Karachi issued statement that the dictatorship is the cause of rising Islamic extremism in the country. She is wrong, the cause of rising Islamic extremism is due to Pervez Musharraf blindly following Bush “war on terror”. The recent news reported that the rise of Islamic Militants and is due to Anti Americanism, these Militants see Pervez Musharraf as Bush puppet, also the reports said that the Islamic Militants have the very popular support of North West Frontier Province. Benazir Bhutto who is promising to be more tough on these Islamic Militants can’t hold on to power what she is promising to do, if get elected.

Pervez Musharraf will get some time by declaring emergency rule but he can’t remain in power pursuing Bush policies of bombing civilians in NWFP.
