Midterm Election and Bush’s mess Iraq.

Posted by QB on October 25, 2006

Bush regime is desperately trying to use all kinds of tactics to keep their majority in Senate and Congress which are two weeks away by invitiving conservative talk show hosts to White House to energize their base. They are using the message which actually is very effective that the conservatives anger towards some policies might be right but by giving the control to Democrats will be dangerous because they are soft on terrorism and they want to cut and run from Iraq which will be US biggest defeat against terrorists.

Tony Snow White House spokeman talking to the journalists said that Bush will not use “stay the course” which sends the wrong message. Bush who opposeses any timetable for US troops from Iraq has now have to explain what Gen. Casey and Khalilzad mean when they issued timetable to Iraqi puppet government that they have to take control of security which to me is a clear timetable set for US troops withdrawal and how that will be different approach than “cut and run” and accepting the defeat.

Kevin Tillman brother of football star Pat Tillman, who was killed in Afghanistan by friendly fire, has criticize the Iraq invasion which is harsh and true. According to Kevin Bush regime used his brother as the poster boy for patriotism and try to hide the facts they he was killed in friendly fire.

“Somehow we were sent to invade a nation because it was a direct threat to the American people, or to the world, or harbored terrorists, or was involved in the September 11 attacks, or received weapons-grade uranium from Niger, or had mobile weapons labs, or WMD, or had a need to be liberated, or we needed to establish a democracy, or stop an insurgency, or stop a civil war we created that can’t be called a civil war even though it is. Something like that.”

Tillman doesn’t stop there. He’s on a roll, he’s righteous, and more important still, he’s right:

“Somehow the more soldiers that die, the more legitimate the illegal invasion becomes.

The all other Iraq news is no different than what we are reading from last four years. The situation in Iraq will start to go into right direction when Bush and Rumsfeld accept that they are humans who had made mistakes and open their eyes and to the facts on the ground. The Democrats have a clear lead over Repulicans but really am not too optimistic about taking the both Houses in coming elections because they are hypocrites cowards.

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Tuesday called for an end to the bloody sectarian conflict tearing apart neighboring Iraq.

“The Iraqi people should do everything to avoid sectarian conflict,” Khamenei told a crowd of thousands, including senior government officials, ringing in the first day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday at a mosque in Tehran. The celebration marks the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

This is positive message and the message like this must come from all the Muslim countries to end this bloody sectarian violence. The Muslim countries must send the Sunnis and Shias scholars to Iraq to sort out their differences and bring them back to santity. I like Ayatollah Khemeni’s message.
