Ecuador will vote for Presidential candidates and 857 public servants. I hope eletions will be peaceful and fair and Correa will win this with vast majority so he don’t have to go to second round which will be very difficult for him to win.
Ecuador general elections started amid the denunciations on the partiality of the mission carried out by the Organization of American States (OAS), announced local sources on Sunday.
The head of the OAS observers Rafael Bielsa does not guarantee the transparence of elections because he is not an impartial judge. He should have been declared non-grata person, said Gustavo Larrea, leader of the campaign carried out by the Alianza Pais Party.
Bielsa described as dangerous the triumph of a leftwing man in the country, Larrea recalled.
Alianza Pais representative whose candidate Rafael Correa stands as favorite to win today´s elections called on the population to be organized and to boost an active participation in the process.
He warned they would annul the voting in case the results are not clear or do not coincide with those reported by the officials of his party spread throughout the country´s more than 36,000 electoral colleges.
