Bush Misleads On Iraq. State Of Denial. Bob Woodward.

Posted by QB on September 30, 2006

The situation is getting much worse, says Woodward, despite what the White House and the Pentagon are saying in public. “The truth is that the assessment by intelligence experts is that next year, 2007, is going to get worse and, in public, you have the president and you have the Pentagon [saying], ‘Oh, no, things are going to get better,'” he tells Wallace. “Now there’s public, and then there’s private. But what did they do with the private? They stamp it secret. No one is supposed to know,” says Woodward.

“The insurgents know what they are doing. They know the level of violence and how effective they are. Who doesn’t know? The American public,” Woodward tells Wallace.

There are reports from Iraqi Resistance which claim higher number of US soldiers casualties which are way higher than the US Government Official numbers. I read few of these reports and believe that this is the propaganda campaign from Iraqi Resistance. After listening all these quotes from Bob Woodward book now I am not really sure what to believe because don’t have any means to verify Iraqi Resistance or Bush administrations numbers. The truth lies in between somewhere Iraqi Resistance reports and US Government Official numbers.

US Government Official Deaths 2711

US Government Official Wounded 20406 (According to CNN more than 10,000 of these injuries are severe, lost of limbs, permanent disability, mental injuries.)

The Iraqi Resistance claim US military death to over 20000 and wounded numbers according to them are over 200000.

Bush administration who are trying to hide the number of attacks will never tell the real causalities numbers because this is very sensitive issue for the Americans who do not like to see their soldiers getting killed in wars.

What is the Truth? God knows better. I really don’t know.

Bob Woodward will sit down with Larry King on Monday night. I really don’t expect anything new coming out in this interview, this will be his book promotion sales talks to boast sales.

Does anyone know the name of anyone who died either in Iraq or died of injuries caused by something in Iraq who is not counted in the list of 2711 official deaths? Are all of the accidental deaths in Iraq counted? Should they be? Should some be but not others?

This is how they are hidding the real casualties of Iraq war. Never count anyone die of injuries, only count the death of soldiers who die on spot, the other way is the non Amercans who are fighting this war for green cards or US citizenship are never counted or reported as Iraq war casualites.
