Catholics Church has lost their minds or simply they are stupid.

Posted by QB on October 9, 2007

The following article is published by Christian Science Monitor catch my attention for criticizing Hugo Chavez and ex Catholic Bishop Lugo for running for President of Paraguay, protecting the interests of poor people.

ASUNCIóN, PARAGUAY – Change or death.” That’s the stark campaign slogan of Fernando Lugo in his bid to become Paraguay’s next president. The outspoken populist appeals to the poor – but he also increasingly resembles Latin America’s leading anti-democratic firebrand, Venezuelan president Hugo Chávez. His candidacy is cause for concern that Paraguay’s gradual 18-year move toward democracy may be reversed. The last thing Latin America needs is another populist troublemaker.Already, Paraguay’s democratic progress has taken a few hits under the current government. President Nicanor Duarte Frutos, whose term ends next August, has tried – unsuccessfully so far – to amend the Constitution so he can run for reelection. As his campaign to remain in control becomes more desperate, so have his methods. They have grown increasingly strident and confrontational – common in a region long known for populist politics.

His party, the traditional National Republican Association, or Colorado Party as it is known, has split into three factions, with little likelihood of reconciliation.

That means the opposition is now poised to assume power. As bad as Mr. Duarte may seem, the opposition is worse; as is its leading candidate, Mr. Lugo.

A former priest who became bishop of San Pedro, Lugo has long been involved in politics and is known as an outspoken advocate of a controversial ideology popular in the 1970s and 1980s known as liberation theology. This earned Lugo the title of Paraguay’s “Red Bishop.”

The Catholic Church hierarchy dismissed Lugo from his clerical duties when he announced his candidacy for president, but that didn’t stop him. On the contrary, his removal from the clergy appears to have intensified his anti-democratic stances, which increasingly allies Lugo with Venezuela’s Mr. Chávez and Bolivia’s Evo Morales. On a billboard that rises over Asunción’s main boulevard, for example, the Lugo campaign advertises the slogan, “Change or death,” and brags that their candidate doesn’t consider himself “a slave of the law.” So much for the rule of law.

The opposition faces a dilemma. If it continues to support Lugo, it could win – maybe – but will have to deal with a demagogue who thumbs his nose at the law and could plunge the country into chaos. If it enters the elections divided – already, three parties have split off from the original coalition of 10 – and offers several candidates, it is almost sure to lose. Worse, Lugo could go all the way and become a dictatorial strongman like Chávez.

Though the political class is wary of him, Lugo has broad support among the country’s poor, who are drawn to his populist rhetoric about the evil rich and the need to redistribute wealth to those less fortunate.

Ranting about the rich has broad appeal because Paraguay is a poor country with a high unemployment rate – nearly half the labor force works in agriculture, more than 16 percent of the population is unemployed, and 36 percent of all Paraguayans live below the official poverty line. And while not totally in shambles, its economy is languid, growing at a compounded annual rate of just 1.3 percent per year over the past five years, according to The Heritage Foundation and The Wall Street Journal’s 2007 Index of Economic Freedom, which ranks the economy well down the list in terms of openness – 99th out of 157 globally, and 22nd out of 29 in the Americas.

With a weak economy; high levels of government corruption; and a restrictive, highly regulated, labor market – one of the worst in the world – Paraguayan society is ripe for the kind of politics-of-envy message being peddled by Lugo. This is all music to Chávez’s ears.

For now, the likely outcome is far from clear. Lugo’s words and actions have created considerable unease among many even within his own coalition. The ruling party is torn by divisions. There are even proposals afoot to legally block Lugo’s candidacy.

The unease is also spreading to neighboring countries, especially Brazil, which are understandably concerned about having another radical populist in the neighborhood.

Meanwhile, the clock is ticking – not only for Paraguay, but for all of Latin America, which hardly needs another populist strongman to add to the region’s problems.

Carlos Sabino is an adjunct fellow with the Independent Institute, in Oakland, Calif., and a visiting professor and researcher at Francisco Marroquín University in Guatemala. Source : Latin America doesn’t need another radical like Chávez.

Carlos Sabino is biased radical agent of Capitalism, written this article to get recognition and get some monetary gains from US government. Lugo, this idiot Professor admit, has become more popular after being removed from clergy because he wanted to bring positive change in the lives of poor people. The social reforms scared the rich elite class of every country, which they have accumulated by using all legal and illegal means and Catholics have become the protector of rich and power as they are the main contributor to their Churches. These contributions are very important for Catholics to maintain their luxurious life style, Pope wearing designer cloths and shoes, luxury cars, decorating the domes with gold at the expense of poor people oppression.

Jesus Christ, according to Gospel, was Socialists not Capitalist. Jesus Christ lived his whole life without owing any property without accumulating any money, spending whatever he had to feed poor.

The Paraguayan should vote for Lugo, who will bring positive change in the lives of poor, developing close relationship neighboring countries making Latin America region for peace and prosperity. The people like this Professor, who are the protector of rich and powerful, will keep writing against Lugo to keep him out of power because they fear that poor are taking over powers and privileges.

Hugo Chavez make Che Guevara revolution vision a successful reality!

Posted by QB on September 28, 2007

The Che Guevara revolutionary vision is making Latin America countries more united with socialist reforms which started with the dynamic leadership and vision of Hugo Chavez. The Venezuelans make the best choice by electing Hugo Chavez in 1999. His sincere honest efforts are improving the lives of millions in Venezuela and he did end the Cuban isolation which has improved the lives of common people. Cuba economy is growing now Bolivia, Nicaragua and Ecuador has developed strong economic relationship following Hugo Chavez policies. This is the beautiful start and still there are plenty of problems these leaders are facing including including the strong resistance from the corrupt government officials and the corrupt politicians who want this revolution to fail. The Bush regime was quick to realize that Hugo Chavez policies will hurt the big US corporations and their way of life and he tried to topple Hugo Chavez popular government with CIA funded coup with alliance with corrupt politicians. The coup failed and Hugo Chavez was in power within couple of days and since than Hugo Chavez has become the harsh critic of Bush, his government and his policies. Hugo Chavez is kind person who has helped the poor neighboring countries and is providing the subsidies heating fuel for poor US citizens. This is sad that the CNN and whole western print and electronic media keep spreading false propaganda against very popular world leader ignoring all what he is doing to improve the lives of millions.

The following article is interesting.

Hugo Chavez and Latin America & Middle East.

Posted by QB on May 25, 2007

Hugo Chavez who is the most hated person in USA and its European allies to me is courageous passionate peace loving person who wanted to improve the lives of common people not only in his country but for whole poor Latin Americans. Hugo Chavez is also considered the greatest threat for USA but the truth is the other-way around. USA is a real threat to Venezuela and Hugo Chavez, its people and their Oil as long as Bush mafia is in control. Bush did try to topple Hugo Chavez government down with the help of CIA and corrupt Venezuelans elite which failed.

This are few Hugo Chavez achievements. Poverty went down to 34% from 40%, free health care for Venezuelans, building cheap housing for poor, education. Hugo Chavez also helped the poor neighboring countries in building hospitals, providing he subsidized oil, subsidized fertilizers for the farmers. Hugo Chavez is savior in Cuba who has hired doctors and other professionals and it is his efforts which has improved the lives of Cubans with higher standard of living and more quantities and varieties of food in market.

Hugo Chavez is a real hero and a true leader. Hugo Chavez friendship with the last revolutionary alive Fidel Castro is also criticised by USA and its European allies. The majority of ignorant American believe that Fidel Castro is some kind of monster which of-course is not true and they blame him for poor economy and poverty which again is propaganda. The truth is Cubans are suffering from last 45 years because of brutal US embargo. Forbes magazine published report that Fidel Castro personal wealth is over 900 million dollars in foreign banks. Fidel Castro blasted Forbes magazine and US imperialists for three hours on TV and challenged them to prove this false accusation. Fidel Castro promised to resign from the government if they prove that he even have any foreign account with 1 dollar balance.

The other example of this kind of propaganda is Kim Jong Il who in the west is known as some kind of mentally unstable crazy person. The truth if you analyze the North Korea situation the country’s poor are suffering due to US sanctions. Kim Jong Il is more sane than George W. Bush who know the consequences of starting a military conflict with South Korea and his threats are simply to seek the attention of international community so he can get some favors.

Democracy is good and dictatorship is evil maybe the good slogan for US but in reality people really don’t care much about the government or the head of State as long as they have security and financial stability. The good US democracy don’t have free medical for all US citizens and there are 49 million poor who don’t have any medical insurance. The good US democracy is not providing cheap eduction (Venezuela has free eduction, but not sure).

I believe that it is not the responsibility of US and its European allies to invade country for regime change. The people of the country can and they have the capability and the power to topple down any evil dictator of their country. Why Fidel Castro is still in power? The answer to this question is that because he had the support of Cubans and that is why there is no real opposition build up against his government. Saddam Hussein came into power with the support of US government and CIA. Saddam Hussein enjoyed power because majority of the Iraqis feel that comfortable with him except Kurd terrorists and Shiites. Iraqis if they were so against Saddam Hussein they could have toppled him down with people power like now they are fighting against the superpower of the world for their freedom.

Hugo Chavez has started common socialists reforms which are spreading in Latin America like wild fire with Nicaragua, Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador has leftist governments developing close relationship with neighboring country which will bring financial stability for the common people. Hugo Chavez is the fresh breeze which will shape Latin America very better way.

Hugo Chavez has to implement tough policies to fight the increasing crimes in Caracas and had to start projects which benefits poor people. Hugo Chavez if really don’t know that crime and housing are the main grievances of poor people than he is as much disconnected with reality as George W. Bush. Hugo Chavez cannot claim to be the leader of poor if he really don’t know their problems.

This is not new post was written very poorly long time ago. I just try to correct the spellings and try to improve the quality for people interest.

Hugo Chavez Efforts Changing Latin America.

Posted by QB on May 12, 2007

Hugo Chavez peaceful efforts are making life much more pleasant for poor common people of Latin. Hugo Chavez who has provided financial help to countries like Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua where people life quality has improved.

La Paz, May 11 (Prensa Latina) President Evo Morales expressed respect and admiration for the Cuban physicians working in Bolivia and pointed out that for the the first time his people are receiving quality assistance.

Morales, at Friday s Patakamaya, La Paz, inauguration of the 22nd hospital constructed with Cuban equipment and personnel, was accompanied by Cuban Foreign Minister Felipe Perez Roque.

The statesman thanked Cuba for its solidarity in providing the medical centers and for the staff at the 11 ophthalmologic clinics that have operated on some 80,000 Bolivians.

The president requested applause for Fidel (Castro), this comrade who works for education and health care for Latin American, with no strings attached, he said.

Bolivia no longer needs the IMF or World Bank, which terms contribute to poverty and lead to violent clashes, he said, since its economy is improving: international reserves grow and it has nearly five percent fiscal surplus, the highest in the past 30 years.

President Morales recalled that this is all owed to the nationalization of fuel and recovery of other natural resources, worthwhile struggles begun by social sectors.

Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega is to pay an official visit to Iran soon, as the two countries wage a battle against US unilateralism.

The president Hugo Chavez warned that humankind is threatened by poverty and the destruction of the environment, and wondered why the rich do not understand the need for a poverty-free world.

He noted that “only that way we will have a world of justice and peace” and denounced those who think that violence can be fought with bombs and invasions.

This is crazy, violence generates violence and Iraq is the best example, Chavez stressed. Latin America News Agency.

Hugo Chavez will be Re-elected.

Posted by QB on November 27, 2006

Hugo Chavez will easily win the re-election next Sunday with overwhelming majority as suggested by all polls. Hugo Chavez is dedicating his re-election victory to Cuba’s Fidel Castro and the 50th Revolution Anniversary. Hugo Chavez strong leadership has helped the Latin America to take control of their governments by electing socialists reformers. The Latin America now will have more economic social diplomatic co-operation between Cuba, Boliva, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Nicaragua and now with Ecuador as the news is that Correa is winning the Presidential election with partial vote counting.

The only positive news these days are coming from Latin America where people are rejecting the corrupt politicians who were the slaves of White House protecting their big corporations interests instead of working for the interests of the common poor people.

Hugo Chavez after winning has to implement the social reforms immediately if he wants to win the next election. The Caracas has serious housing problem and I don’t understand why this is such a so big problem which is the main cause of all the grievances of the poor. The housing project must get the top priority to provide proper shelter to these poor people who are living in temporary housing. The next top project should be to encourage business which will provide jobs for the people. Hugo Chavez has very little time after this re-election victory to start working on the these projects which will guarantee him to win the next election as well. The people really will not interested in changing the government if they are living comfortably in peace and security. Hugo Chavez will defeat “devil” Bush on December 3.

Chávez closes campaign in Caracas

This is my analysis based on various reports and really don’t know the actual situation in Venezuela.

Ecuador Election Tomorrow.

Posted by QB on November 25, 2006

The second round of Presidential elections are scheduled for Nov. 26 between leftist socialist reformer Correa and Noboa. According to latest poll Correa is for the first time is ahead of Noboa with 52 to 48 percent. US interests are tied with Noboa and if these latest numbers hold than it is clear Correa will be the winner who promised not to renew US military base if get elected. Correa also joked that he will renew US military base lease if Ecuador get its military base in Florida.

This race was very interesting from the beginning of the second round with Noboa holding clear lead over Correa for giving money and other gifts to poor voters. Ecuadorians poor commons are I believe are smart who can see the hypocrisy of this billionaire who had exploited the poor laborers without showing any mercy. Noboa who had inherited his money from his father never before had done anything good to improve the lives of poor people which he could have done easily without holding power with his money and now he is promising poor people to bring down the moon and stars for them if they vote for him. Noboa did nothing for poor people his whole life and now he wanted their votes so he can grab the power and protect his and his own class people wealth and interests.

Correa on the other hand is a fresh uncorrupted common person who understand the problems of the common poor people of his country. The Ecuadorians must give Correa a chance by rejecting the corrupt billionaire and elite ruling class which will lead the country into new direction.

There is plenty of propaganda going on against socialists in Latin America by the US and its European allies as something bad where the fact is it is good to have close business economic military relations with neighboring countries which will bring stability and economic growth which is always good for the people.

Hugo Chavez will be re-elected easily as he is way ahead of his opponent Rosales and this will help to build a strong alliance between Bolivia, Cuba, Nicaragua, Chile, Argentina, Brazil to adopt and implement independent policies which are good for the people of these countries and the region instead of being the puppet of Bush regime.

South American Governments not US Enemy.

Posted by QB on November 9, 2006

This is in repose to one guy who believe that my comments were based on ignorance that Latin American governments are not US enemies. The truth is that guy himself is US government and media propaganda brainwashed person who really never try to analyze the changing political situation in South America. The fact is that US government is the enemy of poor people of South America who started to reject corrupt US backed politicians.

The US has the habit of interfering in internal affairs of all the countries of the world favoring corrupt politicians to gain power who protect their financial interests by letting their corporations to loot the natural resources of the country. The recent example of their interference was in Nicaragua where they openly supported Ortega opponent because of his socialists ideology. Ortega win the election despite all the negative propaganda by US and after that there was news flowing calling Ortega the enemy of US has gained power. The truth is Nicaragua is very small country which has suffered US backed terrorism which killed 30000 Nicaraguans. Ortega was the victim of US aggression not the aggressor when they supported the Contras. Nicaragua’s leftist President-elect Daniel Ortega promised yesterday the United States and business leaders that he will not push for radical economic reforms.

Cuba is another example of US embargo oppressive policy where people are suffering from long time just because they don’t like Fidel Castro communist ideology. Cuba economic situation started to improve now with Hugo Chavez policies which are improving the lives of common Cubans. Bolivia where Evo Morales is again becoming evil because he is nationalizing country’s natural gas oil and mining industry making it hard for foreign companies to steel their natural resources.

Hugo Chavez always said that he wanted good relations with US government but Bush regime plotted coup against him which leads to words of war. Hugo Chavez promised to extend hand for friendship to the next US President.

The problem is the majority of the Americans believe in all the lies and propaganda of their media and government without analyzing the situation that none of the South American country has the military capability to attack US. These South American government are developing economic social and defence alliances for their own protection against any US hostilities. I post comments after analyzing the situation not blindly going with lies and propaganda. I stick to my comments that South American governments are against the US aggressive policies not the people of US and they are not enemy, anybody want to call this ignorance, sure why not. There was a guy who really did not understand what hypocrisy means called me the hypocrite with very stupid comments.

Evo Morales’ Complete Victory Over Big Oil.

Posted by QB on November 7, 2006

This is very interesting analysis of Bolvia oil and mining industries nationalization and Evo Morales rising popularity. According to recent polls this approval ratings are 63 to 85 percent. I don’t agree that Hugo Chavez is bully with the writer’s opinion. The socialists common rising to power will change the ives of common poor people of South America.

Boliva assurance on military bases.

Posted by QB on October 21, 2006

Defense Minister Walker San Miguel is assuring its neighbors that its military bases within its own border are no threath to any other country. The proposed $49 million loan from Venezuela will help fund a military base near Brazil to fight drug trafficking as well as a base for a battalion of engineers to build roads to an ecological reserve on the Peruvian border, the minister said.

“Our military posts on the borders do not include armaments … we are a people of peace,” San Miguel said, adding that the loan, which still needs approval by Bolivia’s Congress, would also help build a port managed by Bolivia’s navy to transport oil seeds on the Paraguay and Parana rivers.

The rightist opposition to President Evo Morales, and neighbors Chile, Paraguay and Peru, have expressed alarm at the proposed military aid from Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, who is using oil money to try to build an anti-U.S. alliance in Latin America.
San Miguel said Bolivia will spend $12 million of the Venezuelan aid in the next five years for other new military posts on its borders, but said they were small bases for 20 men to combine immigration, customs, police and army operations.
San Miguel announced a series of visits by defense ministers in the region to clear up concerns. Paraguayan Defense Minister Roberto Gonzalez is due to visit Bolivia this month to inspect the oil seeds port. Peru’s defense minister is also scheduled to visit to analyze future military agreements.

San Miguel said he would also visit Chile in November to meet with his counterpart there. He said Chile’s concern over a small military post on the border to protect water resources was overstated. “There is no reciprocal threat in our border with Chile,” San Miguel said.

Chile and Bolivia have had historically rocky ties, since Chile wrested mineral-rich coastal territory from Bolivia in a 19th-century war that left Bolivia landlocked. The two countries cut off diplomatic relations in 1978, and still do not have ambassadors.

The countries who are making this an issue are all US backed oppressive governments. The US backed oppressive governments will always oppose any other government which want to work for the benefits of poor and common people. The US see that as a threat to their way of life when socialists stop during undue favors to thier big corporations. These bases according to my knowledge are very small with very few numbers of military personnels which can’t be threat to neighboring countries. Bolvia and Venezuela have the right to sign military economic and social relationship which will work in favor of Latin/South America.

San Miguel said Bolivia has a total of 15 military posts on its borders and said that was a small number compared to its neighbors.

Hugo Chavez December Elections. Update.

Posted by QB on October 20, 2006

chavez_chavistas.jpgThere is a new polls published by Bloomberg which is London based news website claiming that Hugo Chavez is loosing ground for December election with his main rival is gaining in polls. The latest survey by the Caracas polling firm Hinterlaces shows that support for Rosales, the former governor of oil-rich Zulia state, rose to 30 percent in September from 19 percent in August. Support for Chavez held at 48 percent, while the remaining 22 percent was split among 20 other candidates or undecided. This must be another misinformation spreading against Hugo Chavez by Bush staunch allies British. The polls which were last published by Venezuela shows Hugo Chavez as favorite with over 50% against his main rival Rosales with 22% support. The result of Venezuela elections will not be according the the wishes of Bush regime who are putting all their efforts to mislead Venezuelans to vote against Hugo Chavez. The US government with its powerful media are trying to paint picture of Hugo Chavez who is socialist evil who spends hundreds of millions for creating hospitals want poor to have better health care and better education opportunities. The people of Venezuela must realize that Hugo Chavez who want to bring his socialists reforms are not that easy to achieve because of the corrupt bureaucracy as it hurts their own interests of mismanaging country’s financial resources for personal benefits.

There is another interesting election in Nicaragua on November 5 where polls are showing that leftist Daniel Ortega is ahead in polls but Hugo Chavez is has doubts about his victory. “I shouldn’t say I hope you win, because they will accuse me of sticking my nose into Nicaraguan internal affairs,” Chavez said. “But I hope you win.”

The Bolivian second round election is still very much open if the poor people just don’t start selling their votes to Noboa for money and gifts.

The people of Latin/South America had to look that they elected these corrupt politicians who had done nothing to to bring them out of poverty. These politicians take turn to loot the country’s resources with the help of big corporations. The change always makes people nervous but there is no harm in trying to elect someone who is an outsider by giving him a one term chance and closely monitoring his policies. The people can always get rid of the person for voting against him if he did not delivered what he promised but it is unfair to sell your votes for money and gifts. The money you will spend in few days the gifts will not lasts for ever the only thing which will improve their life is better eduction better medical facilities better employment benefits.

The socialism is not “evil” or against Christianity. People can keep going to their Churches praying the way they are praying now with better government social programs.

My personal choices would be Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, Daniel Ortega n Nicaragua and Correa in Ecuador. Time for change. Time for Latin/South America to get united by developing social economic and diplomatic relations which will uplift the living conditions of people.

The following news is interesting and I like the decisions of these five candidates withdrawal from the race and throw their support to reelect President Hugo Chavez.

Caracas, Oct 20 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan electoral panorama shows Friday new adjustments among the presidential candidacies after five nominees withdrew from the race and declared support for Hugo Chavez.

Today, Angel Blanco (Mision Venezuela), Enoes Sanchez, Abaddes Vazquez (Union Nacional de Organizaciones Sociales Independientes), Jose Chavez (Partido Accion Social Revolucionaria) and Lourdes Santander informed the national Electoral Council of their decision.

According to Jose Albornoz, secretary general of Homeland for All, all those candidates will support President Hugo Chavez s drive for reelection, which strengthens the Bloc for Change.

After that step, there are four women and eleven men in the electoral battle led by Chavez.

Analysts forecast new adjustments in the contenders list in the 43 days left for the December 3 polling and some even expect the withdrawal of Manuel Rosales, the main opposition challenger.

The statesman has repeatedly warned that any action of that kind aims at minimizing credibility and clarity in the Venezuelan electoral process.

However, Rosales continues touring the nation and publicly presenting proposals.

Following is reported by Latin America News Agency which is more truthful than London based or US based websites reports.

Hugo Chavez under Western media attacks.

Posted by QB on October 18, 2006

The US and European press is criticizing Hugo Chavez with their propaganda by criticising the good work he is doing since he took office for the poor people of Venezuela as well as providing financial help to the neighboring countries and all around the world. The business news published in Globe and Mail today had a very stupid analysis related to OPEC meeting which will be held in Qatar to look into the declining oil prices. The Globe and mail news is suggesting that OPEC will reject Hugo Chavez proposal of cutting the oil production to boast the prices which will hurt him in comming December election. The US business news also falsely reported that Venezuela is running the budget deficit which is a lie as they have budget surplus.

He has used the country’s petrodollars to fund social programs that have garnered him tremendous support among the poor in Venezuela, where he faces an increasingly competitive election in seven weeks. He also financed international aid commitments that bolstered his image abroad, including his as-yet unsuccessful attempt this week to win a seat on the United Nations Security Council.

The Globe and Mail business news said that Hugo Chavez social program done for the poor are something very bad. The Globe and Mail correspondent SHAWN MCCARTHY is misreporting that Hugo Chavez is up for a competitive election. The truth is Hugo Chavez is way ahead of his opponent with over 51% to 22% which really does not make this election very compititive. Hugo Chavez good deeds are also projected as evil because providing financial help to Cuba and other Latin American countries does not look bad in any way no matter what intentions he had in his heart.

This is what Guardian has written in one of their article about Hugo Chavez. Since his election as president in 1998, Mr Chávez has won support from the poor by using oil revenues to fund Barrio Adentro, a programme of free clinics, Misión Robinson, a literacy programme, and subsidised state-run shops known as mercals. Mr Chavez, who is running against Manuel Rosales, governor of the state of Zulia, is expected to win on December 3, and is reaching out to those unhappy with his ties to Cuba and anti-US rhetoric.

Hugo Chavez good diplomatic and economic relations with Cuba Bolivia Argentina and Brazil is something Bush regime must learn instead of criticizing. The US and Western press and media try to potray Hugo Chavez who is trying to take over Latin America with his socialists revolution is again false propaganda. Hugo Chavez do support the socialists in other countries elections just like US support the religious Christian candidates who are the protector of their interests in their countries. Hugo Chavez supporting socialists in Latin America is for the betterment of poor people to provide them facilities education and better life. Bush regime support for Christian conservatives is for the protection of their big corporations and keep explioting Latin Americas natural resources.

The socialists revolution is on the rise in Latin America and if Latin Americans do not fall into US and Western media propaganda they can have the better life. CIA killed Che Guevara in Bolivia to eliminiate the evil communism threat and now after 40 years Boliva had the socialists President Evo Morales. US failed and Che Guevara win.

Tariq Ali on Hugo Chavez and the Axis Of Hope.

Posted by QB on October 17, 2006

I really like this socialist Tariq Ali who speaks in favor of Hugo Chavez Fidel Castro and now Bolivian Evo Moreles. Voting in the race for Latin America’s open seat on the UN Security Council will go into a second day after delegates failed to end a deadlock between frontrunners Venezuela and Guatemala.

Neither country obtained the 125 votes needed to win, but after ten rounds of voting, Guatemala established a wide lead with 110 to Venezuela’s 77. The balloting resumes Tuesday and could last days until one country prevails or the Latin American group decides to bring forth a compromise candidate. Guatemala’s bid for the open seat is heavily backed by the United States.

Venezuela’s President, Hugo Chavez, has become one of the foremost challengers of neo-liberal policies and a constant critic of American foreign policy. First elected in 1998, Chavez’s influence continues to be felt throughout the region. Just this weekend, presidential elections were held in Ecuador that resulted in a run-off between two candidates – leftist economist Rafael Correa will face- off against Alvaro Noboa in a run-off next month. Correa is a close ally of Chavez, while Noboa is openly pro-Washington. Chavez’s social-democratic reforms and his constant taunting of the Bush administration have brought intense hostility from Washignton. Venezuela’s U.N. Ambassador Francisco Arias Cardenas has complained that the US is actively trying to prevent Venezuela from winning the rotating seat on the U.N Security Council.

Well a new book examines Chavez, his influence and his legacy. In “Pirates of the Caribbean: Axis of Hope,” author Tariq Ali looks at how Chávez’s views have polarized Latin America and examines the aggression directed against his administration. Ali also analyzes the leaders of two other countries – Cuba and Bolivia and looks at how together with Venezuela, they are sharply challenging American foreign policy.

Bolivia.

Posted by QB on October 16, 2006

Bolivia is in the news almost daily since socialist President Evo Morales take over power as the democratically elected head of the country. The Bush regime immediately started their propaganda campaign against this democratically elected President because of his socialists views and his intentions to nationalized natural gas and minerals mining industry. The nationalization directly hurt the US corporations which are exploiting the natural resources of Bolivia.

Hugo Chavez claims are can’t be wrong that US is trying to topple down President Evo Morales government by creating chaos in mining industry in an effort to bring one of their corrupt puppet to protect their capitalists interests. President Evo Morales nationalization if help to improve the living conditions of the poor people of Boliva than US has no right to interfere in the country’s internal affairs.

Bolivia has signed 16 billion dollars agreement with Argentina to supply natural gas. President Evo Morales is determined to nationalized all the country mineral mines in October and this confirms that Bush regime is trying to destabilize Bolivian government. There is also way too much fuss about Venezuela singing military defence treaty with Bolivia which is for the protection of the country and is not any way pointing to aggression. President Evo Morales stated very clearly that Bolivia military is ill equipped and is in no position to protect the country and this military defence treaty between Venezuela and Bolivia is for the protection not for invading neighboring countries.

The US must stop interfering in other countries internal affair and learn to respect the will of the majority of the people of country. Bush leave Bolivia alone.

Malaysia says lessons of Iraq show North Korea shouldn’t be threatened with force.

Posted by QB on October 14, 2006

The following is the statement issued  by Malaysian Foreign Minister on North Korea Nuclear issue.

“The mistakes made with Iraq shouldn’t be repeated, now that North Korea has nuclear weapons,” Malaysia’s Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar was quoted as saying by the national news agency, Bernama. “Even now, peace has not been achieved in Iraq.”

This Malaysia Foreign Minister is really a simple guy who really don’t understand the policies of Bush regime, Malaysian Foreign Minister must note it down that Bush regime will never invade North Korea even if they get the confirmation that North Korea do not have Nuclear Weapons because this country will become a financial burden on US because of its economic problems and there is really no “OIL” or huge “Natural Gases” reserves. Bolivia had more chances of US invasion than North Korea because of its natural gases reserves.

The other reason is North Korean army is well equipped and huge with the capability of firing their long range missiles on US. Bush regime mostly consists of idiots but they very well know that they will face huge loss fighting against North Korean well organized military. The present situation of US military is that they don’t have enough troops for rotation in Iraq and Afghanistan unless ofcourse if they reinstate draft so there will be no air strike on Iran nuclear facilities.

Relax Syed Hamid Albar there will be no more US invasion anywhere in the world keeping in mind the failures US military had faced fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan who are fighting the super power with outdated home made weapons and actually winning the wars.

There is a coup d’etat “in progress” in Bolivia.

Posted by QB on October 13, 2006

Hugo Chavez send his foreign minister to Bolivia to evaluate the uprising in that counrty who will submit his report upon his arrival in Venezuela.

“I have instructed my Foreign Minister, our Foreign Minister Nicolás Maduro to leave (Ecuador) and go to Bolivia. He was in Bolivia last night (Wednesday). He is scheduled to arrive (in Venezuela) today (Thursday) and bring me a report” about an alleged uprising in Bolivia. For the second time in 12 hours, Chávez vowed to face any revolt in Bolivia by using “any mechanism.”

“If the Latin American oligarchy, on its knees before the US empire, breaks the rules of the game and disavows the sovereign rights of the peoples, Venezuela will not fold its arms before aggression,” Chávez said in a TV address.

“Evo, my brother, resist! May God and the Aimara and Quechan gods take care of you! We are with you! We are with Bolivia!”

Chávez insisted he has evidence to say “that a plan to overthrow the Government of our brother Evo Morales is in progress.”

“If anything happens to my brother Evo Morales, the culprit is the President of the US (George W. Bush), the aggressor of our peoples.”

Bush regime had learned no lessons from interferring in other countries internal affairs with two failed invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq and if they try to destablize Bolivian government they will face the same humiliating defeat with more strained relationship. The US population very innocently asked “why they hate” us without looking at their government aggressive oppressive policies.

Hugo Chavez assured Venezuela support for Bolivia.

Posted by QB on October 12, 2006

Hugo Chevez issued a very strong statement in support of Bolivian President Evo Morales and blame US trying to destablize the government and eventually planning a coup. Hugo Chavez said any coup attempt will be overturn with the popular support of the Bolivians just like the Pedro Carmona, who headed an interim government for less than 48 hours during a 2002 against him.

Hugo Chavez statement comes after a report Sunday in Bolivia’s El Mundo newspaper alleged that a coup against Morales was planned for this week. The report, which claimed that Chilean military officers and government opponents from recent mining disturbances were involved, cited unnamed sources in the Bolivian government. It was written by Heinz Dieterich, a professor at a Mexican university and sometimes adviser to Chavez.

Hugo Chavez also said that US government had increased its military presence in South America with their fight against cocaine trafficking. Bolivia and US military cooperation is not at the same level after Evo Morales take office in January. Bolivia has developed close military, energy and economic cooperation agreements with Venezuela which is not very much appreciated by Bush regime. There are unknown numbers of Venezuela military personnel are serving in Bolivia

The US has another big problem if Correa wins Ecuador election in its first round on Oct. 15. This is worst nightmare because they thought that they have eliminated the threat of “evil left socialism” by killing Che Guevara 40 years back. Che Guevara struggle and his efforts are very much alive in South America even today.

Ecuador Hugo Chavez another close ally? Presidential candidate called Bush “dimwitted”.

Posted by QB on September 29, 2006

Ecuadorian presidential candidate calls Bush “dimwitted”
Ecuador Presidential candidate Rafael Correa has become the front runner in coming elections on October 15th by playing right from Hugo Chavez play book. Rafael Correa is lashing out at corrupt politicians and lashing out at US just like Hugo Chavez.

Rafael Correa is promising to cut the national foreign debts payments and renegotiate oil contracts with foreign firms to benefit the majority of poor Ecuadoreans. Rafael Correa who is a new comer has alarmed the Washington and Wall Street along with the Ecaudor politicians with rising in polls in last two weeks. The reason for his recent rise in polls is very easily be understand what he said on one television interview regarding Hugo Chavez calling Bush “devil”.

`Calling Bush the devil is offending the devil,” Correa told Channel 8 television Wednesday. “The devil is evil, but intelligent.”

“I believe Bush is a tremendously dimwitted president who has done great damage to his country and to the world,” Correa said.

These two statements make it very easy for me to undersand his popularity with majority of poor Ecuadoreans.

Correa has another advantage over career politicians that he is new and majority of Ecuador’s population see him as an outsider who is not associated with the corrupt politicians.

Correa served as economy minister for four months and was forced to resign after he blasted World Bank for denying Ecuador 100 million dollar loan without consulting the President. Correa decided to be like Hugo Chavez the revolutionary strong popular leader of South America and he certainly had adopted the winning strategy.

Will keep eye on Ecuador elections.

UN General Assembly 61th Session. Bolivian President Speech. Machine Translation.

Posted by QB on September 26, 2006

WORDS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLICA, MORAL EVO AYMA, IN ITS SPEECH BEFORE THE UNITED NATIONS (New York, 19 of September of 2006)

Thank you very much, President. Brothers presidents, sisters presidents, delegates, the 61 delegates to Ordinary Meeting of the United Nations. An enormous satisfaction to be present here in representation of my town, of my mother country, Bolivia and, specially, of the indigenous movement. I mean to them, after 500 years of scorn, hatred, in some times considered like savages, animals, in some regions condemned to the extermination. Thanks to that conscience and that rise and for that fight by the rights of the towns, I arrived where we arrived, to repair an historical damage. In order to repair the damages of 500 years. During the republic equally discriminated, marginalized, never they took into account that fight from the towns by the life, by the humanity, during the 20 last years with the application of an economic model, the neoliberalism, that continued the sacking to our natural resources, the privatization to the basic services. Convinced and we are convinced, the form to privatize the basic services is the best form to violate the human rights. And these small considerations do not force forces to me to that to say here the truth on the experience of those families, I come to express that feeling by the humanity of the towns, my town, come to express the suffering, product of a marginalization, an exclusion, come to mainly express that anticolonial thought of the towns that fight by the equality and justice. I mean to them delegated and delegated, lady president, who in my country we began to look for deep democratic and pacific transformations, we are in the stage of how to refundar Bolivia, to refundar Bolivia to unite to the Bolivians, to refundar Bolivia to integrate us more good still, all the sectors, regions of my country, to refundar Bolivia does not stop to take revenge to us with anybody, although we have been put under a discrimination, refundar Bolivia mainly to end that scorn, hatred to the towns. I say this because my mother commented to me, saying, that when went to the city it did not have right to walk in the main seats of the cities of my country, did not have right to walk by the sidewalks. But happily we have decided to happen of that social, union, communal fight, to an electoral fight to be them actors to solve the social problems, the economic problems, the structural problems, and there we are betting by this Constituent Assembly of refundacional, and wanted that the United Nations participate in this process of democratic Pacific change and, that the best thing than we can do by those left families, marginalized. Surely many countries have the same problem of my country, a country, a nation with as much wealth but also with as much poverty, the natural resources historically robbed, sacked, auctioned by the neoliberal governments, given to the transnational companies. The hour already arrived, now at the top of that fight of the towns by the power and territory, to recover, to recover those natural resources for the Bolivian State under the control of the towns. And when we spoke to recover our natural resources, under that dirty campaign of accusations they say to us that the Moral government of Evo is not going to respect the deprived property, I mean to them, in my government will be respected the private property. It is truth that we needed investment, we needed partners, nonpatterns, nonowners of our natural resources, we understand perfectly that an underdeveloped country needs investment, and I mean to them for the explanation worldwide of some preoccupations, of some false accusations, if the State to exert the right of property of a natural resource as it is the natural gas, the hydrocarbons, petroleum, because we did not expel to anybody, we did not confiscate to anybody. It will be respected, but it will be guaranteed that they recover its investment and that they must right to win but they will not win like before, of (heavy) later not solving the social problems in my country. I mean to them within that frame, I do not come to say to them thus govern or to threaten a country, or to begin with the agreements to a country, single I want like international organisms, State with solidarity like nations, principles of reciprocity, brotherhood that participate in this process of change in democracy. We have many desire, much interest that is conscience of this class of international forums, international meetings like the United Nations to contribute, to bet like changing pacifically. You know, specially here in North America like also in Europe, is much Bolivian people who go away in search of work, before were the European that they invaded to Latin America, specially to Bolivia, now seems that she has changed the situation, are the Latin Americans, or the Bolivians whom they are invading to Europe like before to the United States, why, because in this conjuncture, at this moment work sources are not generated. I mean that we want to bet to them of a right commerce, a commerce of the towns for the towns, a commerce which it solves the problem of work sources, that is important the commerce surely of the companies, but is more important the commerce, commerce for micro and small producers, for those cooperatives, those associations, the collective companies. She wanted, and it is the desire that we have, instead of which my sisters and brothers arrive at Europe that better than products arrive and nonhuman beings, and I believe that she has to do with a conscience in the international community, if we want to solve the immigration subject. I have information that our sisters and brothers do not go there to monopolizes thousands of hectares as before they got at Latin America to monopolize thousands of hectares, got to appropriate themselves our wealth, of our resource. I believe that it is important within that frame of the commerce, commerce, free call commerce including in my country they affect and they eliminate the great producers, agro-industrial, imaginense the agreement signed Colombia with the United States on the Free Trade Agreement, already clears market for the soyeros of the Bolivians, of the agro-industrial ones in Colombia I am convinced that it is important to matter what we do not produce and to export what we produce, and that yes would be a solution to the economic problem, to the use problem. I want to take advantage of this opportunity, lady president, who also is another historical injustice, to penalize to the cocaine leaf, mean to him, this is the green cocaine leaf, it is not the white that is the cocaine, this cocaine leaf that represents the Andean culture, a cocaine leaf that represents the medio.ambiente and the hope of the towns. It is not possible that the cocaine leaf is legal for the Cocaine Tail and the cocaine leaf is illegal for other medicinal consumptions in our country, and throughout the world. We mean to them, that the United Nations are important that they know that scientifically with the North American universities, with the European universities, has demonstrated that the cocaine leaf does not make damage to the human health. Moan by a custom or bad custom turns aside the leaf of cocaine to an illegal problem much, we are conscious of that, for that reason we said like producers of the cocaine leaf, will not have frees culture of cocaine, but there will be no zero of cocaine either. With the implemented previous policies, conditional zero of cocaine, zero of cocaine spoke is like speaking of zero of quechuas, aymaras, mojeños, chiquitanos in my country, that finished in our government, no matter how hard we are an underdeveloped country, a country that we have economic problems, product of the sacking of our natural resources. And we are now here to dignificar to us and began to dignificar to our country, and within that dignificación I mean to them, that the best contribution to the fight against the drug trafficking has been with a voluntary reduction, arranged without died nor hurt. Happily I have listened to the report of the United Nations, recognizes that honest, responsible effort in the fight against the drug trafficking, the seizures kidnaps drugs, to increase with 300 percents of greater effectiveness. Nevertheless, I yesterday listened to a report of the government of the United States, says, that they do not accept the cocaine cultures, and that put conditions to us for modifying our norms. I mean with much respect to the government of the United States, we are not going to change nothing, we did not need blackmails nor threats, the calls certification or descertificación of the fight against the drug trafficking simply is a recolonización instrument or colonization to the Andean countries, that we did not accept, that we did not allow. I want to say them that we have, and we needed an alliance fight against the real and effective drug trafficking but, that the war to drugs cannot be an instrument, a pretext so that they put under countries of the Andean region, as well as invented preventive wars to take part to some countries in the Middle East. We really needed it fights against the drug trafficking, and it summons the United Nations, I invite the government of the United States to do an agreement, an effective alliance of fight against the drug trafficking and that the war to drugs is used like pretext to dominate to us, or not to humiliate to us, or to try to seat military bases, in our country its pretext of fight against the drug trafficking. I also take advantage of this opportunity, in this process of change, we want justice, and that there is justice is important for our towns, but I feel that by means of the Constituent Assembly one is going away to decolonize the right to nationalize justice, true justice. That the people implied in the violation of the human rights, towns threatened armed interventions, that never justice will be there, we are forced like presidents, like Chiefs of State to like dignificar to the humanity ending impunity. And in the previous governments of my country, massacres to the people who fight by her economic vindications, by her natural resources, and it is not possible, genocidas, criminal corrupt, escape to live in the United States, to a country developed like the United States. I request with much respect, to expel to those genocidas, criminals, corrupt who come to live here, if they do not have anything to do, why they are not defended in Bolivian justice. I have the obligation, like president, of which these authorities are judged in Bolivian justice, and believe that no country, no Chief of State can protect, conceal the delinquents, to the genocidas. Hopefully with the support of the North American town, hopefully by means of the international organisms one judges to the people who have made as much damage economic, the human rights, because there will never be respect to the human rights. I have order of the permanent forum of the indigenous towns before the debates of the rights of the indigenous towns, before the debates of the rights of the indigenous towns were in the subcommission of the rights of the indigenous towns in Geneva of the United Nations, in the Organization of American States, but I have information that this debate arrived at this Maxima instance like the United Nations. I want to request to them to name of the indigenous towns of the world, specially of Abyalala now called America, that is urgent to approve the declaration of the rights of the indigenous towns of the world, the right to the self-determination, the right to live in community, in colectivity, the right to live in solidarity, reciprocity, and fundamentally the right to live in brotherhood. There are regions in communities no that deprived property are, is collective property, the indigenous towns single we want to live or, not more good, to live more good it is to explode, it is to sack, it is to rob, but to live or is to live in brotherhood, and for that reason it is most important, president, that the United Nations urgently after the decade of the indigenous towns this declaration of the rights of the indigenous towns is approved, the right to the natural resources, the right to take care of the medio.ambiente. Finally president, the indigenous towns, the poor men specially we are of the culture of the life and not of the culture of the war, and this millenium really is for defending the life and to save the humanity, and if we want to save the humanity we have the obligation to save to the planet earth, the indigenous towns we lived in harmony with the mother earth, not only in reciprocity, solidarity with the human being. We felt very many that the policies, the hegemonistas competitions are destroying to the planet earth, I feel that all the countries are important, social forces, international organisms, we begin to really debate to save to the planet earth, to save the humanity. This new millenium, the millenium in which we were must be a millenium of the life and not of the war, a millenium of the town and not of the empire, a millenium of justice and the equality, and any economic policy must be oriented to how finishing, or draining at least those differences called asymmetries from a country to another country, those social inequalities. Here one is not to implement political that allows to humiliate economically, or to sack economically, and when they cannot sack with norms, because troops use. I want to request with much respect, is important to withdraw of Iraq if we want to respect the human rights, is important to retire political economic that it allows to concentrate the capital in few hands. And for that reason, I feel president, who these events must be historical to change the world and to change economic models, political interventionists and mainly we want that they are times that allow to defend and to save the humanity. Thank you very much.

I will try to fix the grammer errors time permitting. I believe its readable.

Hugo Chavez Latin America’s Strong Leader.

Posted by QB on September 25, 2006

Hugo Chavez who claim to be the friends of American people wish that they will elect a better President in next general elections.

Chavez also called Bush’s policies in Iraq criminal, adding he hopes Americans will before long “awaken” and elect a better president. The Venezuelan leader said that while he opposes Bush, the American people “are our friends.”

Chavez also announced that Citgo, the U.S.-based refining arm of Venezuela’s state-run oil company, plans to more than double the amount of discounted heating oil it is offering Americans this winter to 380 million litres, up from 150 million litres.

“This will go a long way for a lot of families,” said Ian Erlich, a leader of the Alaska Intertribal Council who said many people struggle to afford heating oil where he lives in Kotzebue, Alaska, north of the Artic Circle.

Chavez started the heating oil program last winter, accusing Bush of neglecting the poor. Citgo says up to 1.2 million people will benefit this winter.

Hugo Chavez opponents claim that he is using oil for political purposes. Chavez’s opponents at home accuse him of squandering the country’s oil wealth through preferential oil deals overseas aimed at strengthening political alliances. But Chavez said he has giving away nothing, and that Venezuela also gains by receiving everything from cattle to medical equipment in exchange for oil shipments to Latin American countries.

Hugo Chavez reply shows that he care more of sharing Venezuela oil resources by sharing it with poor South American countries.
“We’re sharing the bread to try to live a bit better, with solidarity,” said Chavez, who also defended Bolivia’s right to cultivate coca for uses other than cocaine.

Chavez, a leading critic of the Bush administration, repeated his warning that if the U.S. government tries to oust him, his country would halt oil shipments. Chavez said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s position is the same, and that if a bombardment of Iran triggers such a move, “the price of oil could reach US$200 a barrel.”

He added that he’d like to see a U.S. president “who you could talk with.”

Bush administration don’t believe in talking with the “evil” opponents who criticise his policies. Hugo Chavez will face the Venezuela people in upcoming elections in December. The majority of the world population including me want to see him get reelected for the second term.
